If you defended Livingstone in any way, that’ll be enough for them.
Poor papster
Shunned like an incontinent mongrel.
No sane person would doubt you on this.
May was terrible and Corbyn appeared to rise to the occasion. Nice to see some passion from him. I noticed May started stuttering and talking quite fast when she was put on the defensive. More of this is needed to continually remind people how bad things are.
She got jeered quite a lot by the house about halfway through as well - I think they can smell blood. She’s not as confident or brash as Cameron was and she’s employing the same style of response as he did which doesn’t work well. JC can take a lot of heart from today going forward, the more he focuses on his key points and attacks her where she doesn’t have a response, the more her public perception will start to shift.
Big word for Angus Robertson of the SNP as well, asking repeatedly about the single market to force her hand. It was quite telling that her response to a question today was along the lines of “British people voted for control of freedom of movement, and that’s what we’ll deliver” - is this a signal that perhaps remaining in the single market isn’t such a key thing for the Brexit negotiators? Could have major consequences for Edinburgh, which has seen a lot of investment from financial services which could be withdrawn if we leave the single market…unless Scotland leaves the UK also that is
Jeremy Corbyn’s re-election campaign continued last week with two huge rallies in Stoke-on-Trent and Ramsgate.
The turnouts at these two events show that the labour leader can win widespread support in places often seen as being traditionally right wing. Ramsgate is in Thanet, Kent, where the racist UKIP party is the largest group on the district council. But 3,000 people turned out to see Corbyn. It shows that the people want Corbyn again and again all over the country but the Party don’t! But he will be voted in by the people.
Another 1,000 turned out in Stoke, a place the Nazi British national party once described as it’s “Jewel in the crown” when it had 12 councillors there.
Me personally, I like Corbyn because he focuses on things like equality, workers rights, NHS and social housing which are some of my core values. On all the evidence I have seen, I do not except the remarks that he is unelectable.
Agree about the Cameron impersonation. She has no confidence in the script and terrible timing. Think she might crumble under sustained attack. Knifes will be getting sharpened. Should never have given the job to a common grammar school pupil.
They do seem to be for leaving the single market. May is the one that wants rid of the human rights act. Don’t we have to agree to that to be in the single market?
The reasons you give(plus education) are the same reasons that will attract voters, as long as the party work together. Tom Watson looked very happy sitting beside Corbyn today.
It does seem that people everywhere are realising that the system is excessively rigged against them. There is always a tipping point. Have we finally reached it? Read this article the other day(Long but worth reading). Although it’s an American perspective, it fits here perfectly as well. Could this really be the beginning of the end for capitalism? History suggests it’s overdue and it really is about time that humans evolved to at least somewhere near the civilised creatures we call ourselves.
Leaving the single market was always dependant on allowing freedom of movement which Leave said was non negotiable, so it was made clear in June that leaving the EU meant leaving the single market.
Add in the complexities of starting new trade deals from scratch, which in some cases will take decades to agree, and you’ll see why many remainers were worried about the economy.
The country voted to leave the single market.
Not so sure that’s what most people thought they were voting for. Your reasoning is sound, but a lot of people voted without looking into the facts, just fell for the blame it all on the foreigners bullshit.
As for the leave campaign, they promised a lot of things they could never deliver. When i see the £18+billion extra per year they promised the NHS, i’ll believe them. Of course they never had the right to promise anything as they had no power to implement any of their wild promises. May does appear to be a shy leaver so it would appear we will eventually leave the single market. Her reasons seem to be about more than freedom of movement.
I warned people on Twitter not to announce they’ve voted for Corbyn. That has over 120 retweets so far. My tag is also going around with eight other names that voted JC and got purged.
You may have taken my vote, plotters, but I reckon I’ve saved at least ten times my number from the same fate.
Mu-ha!
I am one of the “purged nine”.
Why am I only famous for getting chucked out of stuff?
I have other skills
I fear the reason Watson looked happy sitting beside Corbyn is because he knows that Smith will be declared the winner in the leadership contest. I really hope i am wrong on this, but it has been quite obvious for weeks now that the New Labour establishment will stop at nothing to prevent Corbyn being re elected leader. Thousands, possibly tens of thousands of paid up members being denied a vote for the flimsiest of reasons. For weeks they have had a team of people going through the social media posting history of members, sifting out the Corbyn supporters and ‘purging’ them. If Pap has been ‘purged’, someone who is clearly totally committed to the party, attending meetings, encouraging people to get involved, working towards a Labour Party government etc etc, then it is blindingly obvious that nobody is safe. People being ‘purged’ for ‘liking’ a facebook post of a Green Party policy that they agreed with. Are they seriously suggesting that the Labour Party don’t want people to vote for them who have supported other parties in the past? Absolutely ridiculous! Anyone who has used the term ‘Blairite’, or ‘traitor’ has been ‘purged’. Yet the PLP rebels have openly not just supported Conservative Party policies, but voted for them! Are they to be ‘purged’? Of course not. At a time when Jeremy Corbyn was receiving death threats, Jess (look at me, i’m an MP) Phillips told The Guardian that she would willingly stab him in the front. Will she be ‘purged’? Of course not. This is gerrymandering on a massive scale, there is no subtlety about it, these plotters simply don’t care how they are perceived, they have no shame. They are determined to replace Jeremy Corbyn no matter what. What they will be left with when they succeed is another matter. And after Corbyn’s performance at PMQs yesterday, when he absolutely wiped the floor with May, totally and completely embarrassing her without once resorting to the sneering and personal smearing which is the hallmark of not just the opposition, but shamefully a large proportion of his own MPs, they will be more determined than ever to replace him. Because the general public are sick to the back teeth of these tactics and the more they see of the common decency of Jeremy Corbyn the more they will warm to him. When they are given a chance to actually listen to and understand the policies he espouses they will warm to them. This is what really drives the New Labour establishment in their increasingly undemocratic attempts to replace Corbyn, forget the ‘mantra’ that he is ‘unelectable’, the opposite is the case. They know that given a fair chance to put his case he is extremely electable. This is what they, along with the rest of the establishment are really shit scared of. A proper Labour Party with proper Labour Party policies, a genuine alternative to Tory policies which, lets face it is all we have had for the past 50 years or so. They can then wave goodbye to their ‘perks’, the gravy train won’t be taking any more passengers. Nobody should be surprised if Owen Smith is declared the winner later in the month, the plotters will brazenly ride out the inevitable shit storm that would follow, their sense of entitlement is only matched by their contempt for ordinary Labour Party members.
This is starting to look like Pap has finally found himself a cast iron conspiracy theory…
He didn’t even have to go hunting this one, it knocked on his front door and introduced itself!
The interesting thing about this entire year has been seeing the question everything approach you’d normally see consigned to overtly anti-mainstream sites enter the public discourse. People may not entertain all the mental ideas that I do, but they are thinking in the same way.
Now I’m not saying that the suspension is necessarily unjustified. Based on the rulebook, they’ve probably got a right to throw me out for saying fuck or cunt, never mind any of the targeted criticism I’ve produced over the years. You can argue that fuck or cunt are abusive, especially when combined with the catch-all “in any context” qualifier in the rulebook.
Most people think context is all important. The tweet in which I informed Tooting that the Conservatives were a pack of racist, venal cunts was in the context of that seat being vacated by Sadiq Khan after his election as London mayor, despite a campaign in which the Tories had overtly been racist, venal cunts.
I have worried about this but tried to dismiss it. If Smith wins, i agree it’s been fixed. The end of democracy would be confirmed. Let’s hope capitalism is following close behind.
Anyone able to find odds on there being “admission issues” at the upcoming party conference???
(Also isn’t it time Sotonians banned Pap? After all he has managed to get banned and purged from everywhere else)

Wouldn’t be surprised if that happens at all.
Conference was originally supposed to be where Corbyn crystallised his vision for the party. I’m hearing that a lot of conference delegates have been purged.

I think it’s time that people realised that it rarely makes anything better for those chucking me out. Quite the opposite, in my most two high profile cases.
To be honest i think that in the light of the Conservative campaign in the London Mayoral elections “racist venal cunts” is just a statement of the obvious, certainly fair comment! But chin up Pap, you are in good company.
The lead singer of the ‘Sleaford Mods’, has been purged as well. For a private tweet he sent back in March in which he said, “Dan Jarvis can lick my Fucking arse too. Posing cunt”.
Can’t find too much wrong with that, fair comment at least!
This is upcoming.
Going to be big.
