Well I’m not sure what proven options we have available really :S. None of the other managers on our radar have managerial Premier League experience and whilst Vieira may not have managed at any real level, he knows English football in and out.
Plus of course, he’d perhaps be a name who’d attract a decent quality of player, although I recognise that any kind of ‘profile’ it would add to Saints would be totally offset by the fact that the media would regard any success with us whatsoever as simply a ‘good audition’ for the Arsenal job. Still, that would make for a motivating factor from his point of view. If he gets us to a bunch of 6th place finishes purely because he’s desperate to put in a good showing for the Arsenal job then what the hey? That’ll do me.
Also, as he’s black, it would be an important, progressive step forward for our club.
Does the fact that these hypothetical candidates have different sets of genitals matter? Bizarre point to make.

Other than Pardew none of our managers since Liebherr took over have had Premier League experience when they started. They had all managed in major European leagues though, which Viera hasn’t. The MLS is too poor quality for us to recruit a manager from in my opinion.

Grayson Perry could also design our kit - probably a blend of rubber waistcoat and a ra-ra skirt - fine by me as long as the away has yellow and blue bondage attachments.
And from what I’ve seen of his sculptures, if we want a new statue with cocks hanging off every corner, I think he could help with that as well.
