Koeman was a centre half !!
From what I can gather from what I’ve read, he’s stylistically similar to RK aswell. Think Arsenal back in the day … solid defence, tough but skillful midfield and pacey up front
… just what I’ve picked up from little snippets, I couldn’t really tell you about formations or anything but I’m not so consumed by formations as you Simon
Puel was a French defensive midfielder and brought us dull football. That was the joke comparison. The French part was the main aspect of my quip Steven, not their playing positions.
6-3-1 it is then.

Yeah I knew that Si … I didn’t really mean to come across as sarcastic as I did … soz.
I blame the heat
6-3-2 would be better !
And for the record I only bang on about formations because it is quite clear that our dim witted Prima Donna players have demonstrated that they can only play in one particular system.
Koeman and Pochettino were both centre halves so perhaps we should stick to getting one of them.
Instead of Viera we could go for another Arsenal legend, Tony Adams? I’m sure the players would really respect his training methods…
WTAF are you doing Tony??

And the goal keeper goes where @steveintheforest ?
Well he could just nip acros the road from the Priory to the training ground every day
New rumour neither Pellegrino nor de Boer been approached by Saints.
So who the fuck are we talking to.
(Our krew source)
Just passing it on
Back to Tommy Turtle then ?
That was the joke … we play with 12 men ! … got to better yes
We are very good at providing smoke screens, so left field it is.
Possibly.
This made me think what I would feel if he came to us compared to how i would feel if we appointed a woman as assistant coach
I would prefer to have a qualified limited experience but with potential woman in high profile postion at the club.

Patrick Vieira odds shortening and shortening and now down to 3/1 with the bookies.
I have to admit that I’d laugh like hell if Sunderland were to appoint Adams (as would all Toon and Boro fans). But do you seriously think that Saints would even consider him?
And if he does really well and gets us in the top 6, he will then be the perfect replacement for Wenger!
Cant see it happening really, but you never know in football.
Vieira was a great player but his coaching career hasn’t been stella so far. Bit of a gamble if true.

So, when can we expect him to start then?

Come on he’s not a premier league manager as Sunderland will not be a premier league team any time soon if they employ him. Saying this, if he does land the job, he will oook like he is ok with Sunderland in the championship.
