Not at all, did not suit the style of play. Hump the ball up to the big lad. Tried to get them with the ball on the deck and knock it around. Would have suited our ‘Southampton way’. You cannot make parallels at all. Just a bad fit!

I wouldn’t want him, but your reasoning about Palace is sound. A terrible fit, but then again, he must of seen that if i can.
Inter then Palace, suggests he’s a bit stupid and maybe got lucky at Ajax. Shame really, as we’ll never know now. He’s not got a chance of a decent job for a couple years now(a bit like a certain Mr RK until we took him on).
Back to Holland for a couple of years, just to rebuild his reputation(and learn his own limits).

Reputation. Two short but well paid disasters have ruined his chances of any decent job. I’d be surprised if just collecting a pay off was his motivation.
