OK I know most people nowadays listen to music on Spotify via their smart phone but I don’t.
For the last 12 years I’ve been listening to my music via my Creative Zen Vision M 30mb MP3 player…and bloody good it was.
Now uploading to it has got a bit creaky so it’s time to find something new. Mrs LITSL has said she’ll buy it for an early birthday pressie so I’m looking for a suitable replacement. Must have bluetooth and at least 16gb storage.
My phone has been my music player for the last five years. Quite cheap too. Android phone with an SD card formatted as internal storage can yield a music storing beast very quickly. And of course, it’ll have Bluetooth.
Do they even make them any more? The only ones I’ve seen lately have been cheapo couple of quid jobs in the pound shops. I’d have thought upmarket MP3s were either obsolete or a tiny niche product by now.
I am so old school that I still actually buy the occassional CD and then load it onto my ipod classic.
My phone is a basic model and is used primarily as a means of contacting people via txt, email, Msn etc and even actually as a phone. How radical is that
Sadly ipod classics are no longer available unless you get one 2nd hand.
I bought the Creative Zen back in 2006 because I wouldn’t subscribe to Apple’s restrictive interface at the time…no 3rd party uploads.
I still buy CDs even if there’s a free download…just old fashioned in liking to support the artist and having something tangible in your collection. I don’t cherry pick tracks to download either as I think it’s disrespectful…they’ve taken time, thought and creativity to compose and record…listen to it all.
Smart phones are unnecessary for me…I have my trusty pay-as-you-go slider phone.
Where can I sign up? Although being half Welsh, Sheep Porn is more to my liking, and having lived so long in The Sand Pit the noises made during a bit of Camel Humping is something to behold!!
What I would do is look for one with the highest number of reviews and look at the good and bad points, and then just buy the one that looks really cool.
I've had Walkmans, Discmans, cameras, TVs all pretty good stuff. I'll probably go Sony again...unless someone comes up with a strong recommendation for something else.
