Any goal link things?

Screw Stoke. I’m counting on us battering MoanU!!! No penalties though please. Also hoping that Arsenal get that fourth place. It would be such a shame for the Dippers to miss out on CL football again … :lou_wink:

I look at points not positions, positions are a comfort blanket.

Penalties are fine, as long as it’s Austin or Gabbiadini taking them(Forster will save their obligatory spot kick). Would enjoy Liverpool missing out, particularly after Klopp accused us of letting Arsenal win. What a cunt.

And the only thing that matters at the end of the season. Don’t forget that bit Barry.

Pretty sure you can’t have one without the other baz.

Fucking goal hanger :lou_wink_2:

Or indeed Steve Davis or JWP, both can manage them reasonably well… Trouble is, none of these four were on the pitch. Pity for Shane, he had a good game on the whole, but can’t hit the proverbial barn door. Anyway, no worries, we’ll be months before getting another pen. Meanwhile, two tasty goals and 8th place is still on. And as observed above, we can at last watch MOTD (though while waiting Eurovision this year has far too few tasty ladies).

tbh I wouldn’t let Steven Davis anywhere near a penalty !!

Don’t get me wrong, I think very highly of him, he’s consistently one of our best players season after season but his confidence to hit the target is completely shot at the moment … how many times have we seen him blast a good scoring opportunity into Row Z this season ?

Is you turn the lights out? Lock the door?

He has taken them for Northern Ireland in fairness but yes, generally his shooting is woeful.

Jay has taken pens for us before and I don’t recall him missing. So I was pretty surprised that Long stepped up, especially as Jay had already scored and should have had a bit of confidence about him.

I kinda got the impression that is was more of a case of ‘he’s earned so he’s taking it’ rather than being designated … Bertrand or Jay would of been a better choice, Long’s too excitable for penalties

Mind you, we’re all a bunch of spoiled brats when it comes to penalty-takers, after having had the two best anywhere, MLT and SRL…

Yes, that’s the impression i got. Which isn’t really the professional way to go about it. I was surprised Jay didn’t take it, the obvious choice for me. And of course 3-0 would have really settled us down and would probably have gone on to score more instead of being on the back foot trying to stop an equalizer. As it is the penalty miss was the difference between us going above West Brom or staying below them.

Would have liked to have seen him slightly earlier, so he could have slotted the penalty home. Would have been good for him as well.

was an ok game, not the 3-3 but better than most were predicting after a very slow first 20 minutes. Oh and I got to see Saints win a game woohoo!
