A win! Pretty comfortable as well. I liked that, we seemed more in control and I felt like we had more purpose. There was pressing and no one was really a passenger. Sadly, I think we improved without Boufal. I really want him to do well, to be our magician, but he isn’t. Long was back doing what he does best and Carceres and Pied looked good. Pied looked good at the start of the season before his injury so I think he might actually jusy be a genuinely good player and not some cheap option that we signed just because Clod knows him. I shall now go and buy some wine and some fish and make a masterpiece.

Three points - that’s all that matters on a day like today.
Others may want us to play free flowing high-risk football and lose 5-4 in an entertaining way but I’ll settle for a morale-boosting victory after a couple of setbacks.
