They’re waiting for Saints to sign them first
Do you mind! I’m having my tea.
I might bring my 9pm wank forward
Arf. Theresa May now being pulled from pillar to post in policy areas, having to shelve plans or do the complete opposite of what she said the government would do. The 1% public sector payrise is now under review.
Good for public sector staff, although I suspect they’ll not get close to what they should have had. It’s a government in disarray.
How about this for public sector pay
those under £30k 2.5%
up to £ 60 k 1.5%
up to £80k 1%
above that nada -
Yes please.
Amendment defeated. The Tories cheer as the newly minted DUP help them to condemn Nurses/firefighters et al to a max 1% payrise.
Shameless fucking thievery from the cunts.
This is the thing, it not just nurses and care workers. It would also include CEOs of councils and NHS trusts earning £300k +. Something should be done, but it needs to be more targeted.
Hence my post above.
£100 million per DUP MP.
When will people start to rise up and stop the rot happening in the UK?
Story after story of wilful / criminal neglect by the government…and it goes on and on, with a new revelation almost every day
I sometimes think we deserve what we get.
The council I work for had a freeze on increments for quite some time which meant there is a lot of agency staff and high turnover of social work staff. They have to offer a £3k retention bonus for us permanent staff. Just add the 3k to our wages and maybe people will stay (there’s a whole list of other things like manageable caseloads, decent managers and less bureaucracy, better IT systems that would also help). They have now said we will get increments back. But stagnant wages and increased costs aren’t helping a lot of people.
With inflation currently around 2.9%, that’s still effectively a pay cut.
Many public sector workers, including nurses, are facing a 12% pay cut over a decade.
And that #KnackeredOldGoat says the reason Nurses are using food banks is ‘complex’. Nah, you shamless, heartless, power-hungry twat - it’s because you and your austerity, state-shrinking, reverse-Robin Hood obsessed pals are deliberately plunging them into poverty.
Fuck the lot of 'em.

Trouble in “paradise”?
A clash at the top of government has seen Theresa May and Chancellor Philip Hammond lock horns over changes to the long-held Conservative policy of capping public sector pay.
Ms May’s officials gave a strong signal on Wednesday that after years of backing pay restraint, she had “heard the message” of the election and was willing to consider changes.
But within hours, the Treasury is said to have strongly objected to reports that the pay cap could be dumped and demanded Downing Street clarify the position.
Ditching the cap would cost the Treasury some £5bn by 2020, by which time Mr Hammond will already have been forced to pay for other expensive policies to win political backing for Ms May’s weakened premiership.
I never knew cunts had horns.
You’ve been lucky, @goatboy .
And presumably not a drain on the NHS’s penile reconstruction department*.
