Here is the thing

Do you stay safe and appoint one of the old cunts who would in all likelihood keep us up but the footie will be awful

Or appoint a overseas manager who has had some success but has had no experience of the prem and take a risk that next season Forsters wage alone is likely to wipe us out

Is there any wonder why BFS will be in almost constant employment until he decides to finish

Only time will tell to be honest. Whilst that seems to be a good idea on the face of it, I personally err on the side of caution when it comes to Paul Mitchell’s overall greatness. I don’t believe in coincidences and cannot help but feel that Koeman was as much responsible for Tadic, Mane and Pelle as anybody else.

We are also quick to forget Osvaldo, Forren, Mayuka et al. The black box was supposed to assess temperament as well so how the fuck did Captain jack sneak through? Maybe Pochettino had a big hand in that one but even so.

One thing is for sure, we need a good shake up so roll on whatever announcements are forthcoming.

Indeed. Made all the more difficult because we have endured some terribly dull football with two foreign managers as well.

I’ve felt for a while that we are ‘lost’ as a club with no discernible playing identity. So getting somebody in with an actual plan and ideology is exactly what we need at this point in time.

I think Charlie is already packing his bags in anticipation

When Sam Allardyce doesn’t get the Fulham job but hears word that the Saints job is available…

I am hopping it is Mr Rabbit Hutt … my psychic cat must get one wrong soon… whenever we change manager, he spends 27minutes in his litter tray and the resulting turd always bares a remarkable resemblance to our next manager… this morning he shat out Alladice…

#111

What the fuck have you been feeding the poor bastard?

#112

Another tenuous link. Liebherr family was rumoured to have close ties with the owner of Red Bull even speculating at one time he could come in as an owner or sponsor.
Old but possible.
Certainly somebody in the Lander Office knows their stuff if this rumour is true 're Mitchell + Ralph

#113

So, what’s been happening? Anything interesting? Can’t be arsed to read back.

:lou_lol:

And Bletch slept through it all nursing his hangover

#115

A 6 million quid payoff for Hughes on top of his million quid bonus for keeping us up. I doubt if he’s bothered about getting the sack, probably welcomed it.

Sky exclusive… Hasenhuttl agrees in principle to become next Saints manager.

If you have a spare half an hour, this debate is worth a listen.
