Touché.
Well that wouldn’t have been good enough, but that’s not what I did.
The argument was deliberately framed to appeal to reason, and the notion that no matter our political backgrounds, we might have solid cultural reasons for not believing it.
If that’s not good enough, you can always take your points to SaintsWeb.
As Roy Walker might say in a Sotonians-aware age, you’ve got the votes, but it’s not right.
The Brexit thread is the most popular thread in Sotonians’ recent history. I doubt you, or anyone, has the ability to unilaterally close down the debate.
Sorry, I didn’t realise I wasn’t allowed to disagree with you. Please forgive me and don’t banish me to saintsweb or restrict my posting privileges.

Just because you were wise enough to know that we weren’t going to spend £350m on the NHS doesn’t mean everyone else was also as wise as you. Argue what you want about semantics, that statement is either a lie or deliberately obtuse and would have confused plenty of people. It’s simply not good enough to say after the event that everyone should have known what was meant by it.

Absolutely argued on the points. I can see why you’re tipped for high office.
And please also note that I haven’t downvoted you as I remembered that were not allowed to downvote things that you think are ok.
Still brilliantly argued on the points.
Ah so hard to prove the unprovable…
All you have said is that people spend money and should therefore know what’s a lie and then claimed that’s a cultural reason for knowing the truth. Maybe SWF is the place for me because I can’t really argue against that. It’s bizarre that you would even consider that a logical argument that there is literally nothing I can really say in response.
You saying politicians didn’t lie before this false claim to win a vote is laughable, do you genuinely believe this?
I didn’t say that
Good to see recognition that the claim is a lie
Of course its a lie but whoever believed a politician wanting a vote?
Quite a few people out of 52%.
I really can’t be bothered to discuss this with you or pap anymore.

More fool them then. Should have done their research on a politicians integrity.

Blimey Fatso. I _hope _I expressed it a little better than that.
There is a view advanced here and elsewhere that the blurb on the bus was decisive. The Remain crowd continually refer to it. I still haven’t seen anything you’ve posted that would suggest it’s a lie, unless of course, corroboration from Barry is decisive.
I suspect the bit you’re having difficulty with is finding the lie in that four sentence sea of text. There are vast sins of omission, certainly, but that’s true of almost everything anyone advertises. Which bit of that blurb isn’t true?

Talking of Green giant tinned corn Normally yellow when you open it up?
I once had a tin that was a Man Utd shirt Grey color for the contents inside.
Not eating this so binned it and sent the label back to Green Giant stating the color of the last tin. Who promptly sent me a box of all there produce to recompense me.
Have been a fan of complaining ever since.
Don’t ask don’t get.
