Raneiri and many others have said this season has been a freak, an amazing brilliant freak and all the coponents fitted together perfectly for Leicester, that won’t happen again or not for years.
If big club wisdom has gone, why do smaller clubs still bleed their best players to them?
Money, as much as we’ll now try to be fooled that we all have loads of money (we do to a point) the bigger clubs will always have more so its a pointless arms race with the players and agents benefitting, football and our National team haven’t benefitted from more money in the sense of perfomance so why should it now?
Clubs have less of an identity, we have plastic stadiums, we have no ownership of our clubs, we go to the match and we are told its an experience.
I accept this and still love the game, I also accept things change, I am not mad and I certainly am not surprised, if the board or club believe I believed them when they said things about players staying, managers staying, champions league and the rest of the shite then they’ll be sorely disappointed.
We are a selling club, we have always sold, we win little and for our size in our history we have been poor.
This is not a rant but a fact Pap, I can only assume you didn’t see us in the early 90’s when we were truly shit, if the internet was around then the comments would be on the wall framed by now as they would have been gold.
