Well one myth seems to have been busted big time. People are not bothered about European football. People are only bothered about money. Who’d have thought it? Read this morning that Ron’s war chest is now £200m. Can you imagine the increase in twitchiness on the face of an old manager of ours at the thought of all of those brown envelopes? Call me old fashioned but I prefer managers/coaches who use their skills to get the most out of what they have. Brian Clough didnt go out and buy the most expensive players he could (with the exception of Francis). If Koeman does go to Everton (although I have also read that he has interested Lazio) it will only be for the money and spending power. At the moment his stock is high because he has done a good job on a budget. If he doesnt succeed failry quickly at Everton his stock will plummet. Still, with what he is being paid I suppose he isnt that bothered.

Speaking of Freudian slips, I love this definition from Urban Dictionary.

“A Freudian slip, named after famous psycho-analyst Sigmund Freud, is when one is speaking, and accidentally inserts a word on one’s subconcious mind in place of another penis.”

Ah I love those old jokes…it takes me right back passage.

And Saints are apparently getting a no-poaching clause put in too.

You don’t want those bastards nicking our pheasants.

Like a scouser is going to pay any attention to a no-poach clause. Light fingered barstewards.

Nice Torygraph article, don’t expect Barry will sully his mouses click to read it.

The final bit defending Kuntman seems pretty flimsy.

For his part, Koeman has been forced to oversee dramatic changes to Southampton’s squad in each of the past two summers

Summer 1: He would have been aware of what he was walking into. Whilst it wasn’t ideal, in some ways it may have been a good opportunity. It was a solid chance to mould a squad in his image, with plenty of cash in the bank to do so. It allowed an easy facilitation of the more direct approach adopted, with less reliance on pressing & possession. It allowed him to get in people like Pelle, who were ‘his’ players.

Summer 2: Um, we lost Morgan - granted, a big loss. Then we failed to keep a loan player. Think it is something of an over-statement to call that “dramatic”.

EDIT: Borls, forgot Clyne. Meh, like Morgan, it was clear for sometime he was off. There should have been better planning for his replacement to be honest. That was a bit poor.

Three days prior to Roberto Martinez being sacked, Guido Albers was approached by # EFC for his client, Ronald Koeman.

Albers explained Koeman would not be interested in the job, but his other client, Frank De Boer would.

Albers is no longer Koeman’s agent.

Ref the above, hate him even more now…

All done bar the unveiling according to Adam Blackmore on Twitter.

Aye, he’s taking Erwin and Jan Klutienberg with him. We get to keep Sammy Lee and Dave Watson as they were brought in by the club not Ronald.

Still leaves a sour taste in my mouth…

Meh, genuinely over it.

Bring on the new era.

The king is dead, long live the king.

One man doesn’t define our club. Very confident in the structure we have in place here that we’ll be able to slot somebody else into RK’s position and be equally, if not more successful.

Shame that he’s clearly after a big payday rather than the chance to continue his good work here, but hey ho.

Yeah, that’s the bit that annoys me. Especially with all his talk about honouring his contract and digging out players who basically do what he has done.

Guess he was just jealous of the £££ getting thrown their way.
