I actually think he’ll get fairer treatment over there. Can’t be worse than what we’ve subjected him to. At least he’ll actually be having a trial there in which he will get brilliant advocates. This’ll be a big case. It’s about how rotten the whole fucking system is.

What news, the BBC seems doesn’t seem to be carrying anything today.
I don’t agree that he’ll get fairer treatment over there, but the process over here is far from complete. The Patel decision will be appealed and the whole process is going to get dragged out for many more months yet. Which is all part of the punishment.
The expected next steps were described by Craig Murray here back in March under the assumption that Patel was always going to make this decision.
He has been locked up in decreasingly worse places with little prospect of release or resolution via the courts. Whatever the US government thinks, there is a huge amount of public interest in what Assange says.
Either way, the trial is going to be a watershed.
