In which case can we assume odious worms like Nigel Fartage & Michael Goo(ve) along with “news” comics like the Sun will be charged with incitement to cause civil disobedience and murder?

Just asking…

I seriously cannot imagine what Jo’s family are going through, but the strength they show in statements and press releases are just amazing. They say about going on and fighting for what she believed in, a united community, her sister saying about how she cannot be forgotten and her children will be reminded how great their mum was.

The media keep going on about how her children are never going to see their mother again and her husband will never see his wife, but the family never speak about the negative side, just positives, just 58 hours after the horrendous event.

I cannot put this into words, I just cannot imagine how I would react and do not want to.

Seriously fucked up, that this terrorist has done this!

All major political parties have said they do not intend to contest the upcoming by-election to elect an MP to the seat following the tragedy, out of respect for Ms Cox’s family and colleagues. However, Jack Buckby has announced he will be contesting the seat for far-right political party Liberty GB.

The other parties are not contesting the election out of respect for a murdered MP and her family.

To choose to ignore the respectful tribute and contest it is not an act of free speech, it is pissing on the grave of a young mother.

I wouldn’t have always agreed with Jo Cox, but political differences don’t come into it. This weekend has left me numb, and bar the occasional retweet of something related to Tory Election Fraud, dormant on the Twitter front.

I will say this. Nick had to delete two threads on the UI because people were using the topic to score political points and/or advance certain agendas. I’m very proud that hasn’t happened here, and that people have treated this terrible event with the utmost and appropriate respect.

I cover a lot of news events and you do get a bit jaded and cynical, it’s natural. I was really struck by the depth of genuine feeling towards Jo.

I know what you mean Ted, there is the occasional gig that hits a note and sticks with you.

Sometimes it’s not easy to maintain the poker face.
