🔄 January 2020 transfer window

Ighalo to man utd is a sign of how far they’ve fallen. A desperate bunch of cunts. I saw this on Twitter the other day…

Did we sign Maddox in the end ???

Was wondering the same. Nothing on Twitter confirming anything. Either way he’s bound for the U23s it seems - not first team.

Im concerned about our board and a gents handshake agreement for the right back kid KW. If he goes well I couldn’t trust Levy and Morinio to not just call him back and say screw you. They have form nicking our players at the end of loans.

I hope we have been savy but without a legal agreement for a sale we could end up as also rans just training on other teams players

Agree with your concerns, but to be fair we’re always going to be also-rans unless something really unexpected (a la Leicester) happens.

It’s about being the best of the also-rans isn’t it.

I hate Man United fans more than Pompey fans.

I had to put up with the cunts on flights to and from Belfast. When they won their 19th title, I remember being on the airside bus with a bunch of the cretins. One mush drew 19 on the condensation and just kept saying “nineteen” over and over again.

The other was on League Cup Final day at the Railway in Hampstead. It’s about 25% Saints fans, a generally good atmosphere (we had some Irish MUFC fans who were not mad menacing cunts near us).

I go up to the bar while singing OWTS. Some little twat with a southern accent tells me to shut up with menacing intent. “Where are you from?”, I ask.

“What does that matter?”, he asks, knowing why it matters.

“You’re not from fucking Manchester, mate, and neither is your fucking team”.

Well that’s the point isn’t it. We had a written option to buy Toby Alderweireld but what good did that do us? If the player tells his parent club he won’t sign for the other team because something ‘better’ comes along, that agreement is worth diddly.

Is KWP going to pull up enough trees in 12 or less games to prove to Moanrinho that he is actually Ivanovic in disguise? Bearing in mind he didn’t play much under Poch who likes kids (not in that way) so why would a manager notorious for bullying and ostracising young full backs (Luke Shaw, anyone?) suddenly change his MO?

The issue will be Levy demanding silly money as usual.

Equally, we may be lining up somebody else already for the summer who we were told wasn’t available now.

Ultimately I trust in Ralph (again, now that he’s done with his 3 centre backs, Gunn in goal and experimenting with wingers at full back) and he did want a smaller squad anyway so :man_shrugging:t2:

True.
Not wingers at FB anymore.
Just CM’s

True, but again, we’d be in this position even if Cedric was still here. 2 RBs being injured at the same time is unfortunate and I don’t really think you can or should have to account for that. The only thing you could say is that they should have tried to sign KWP earlier than they did to give him a chance to be more ready to play. But against Liverpool at Anfield that could be quite unfair for a lad who has only played 5 games this season. No way can he be match fit. Certainly not for that match, anyway!

Also, bearing in mind our last game was against Tottenham so he couldn’t have played in that one either even if we’d signed him sooner.

Shame Ramsey hasn’t pushed on but it is what it is. He’s still only 19.

You always talk me around when I’m feeling blue. You should do football therapy.

Belgium and now Canada? That is some fall from grace! WTF is that about, he’s only 28.

PS - could he not do a job for us with PEH possibly going the other way?

He got really fit at Tottenham and lost a load of weight and somehow he didn’t seem as opposing a figure as he was with us.

The Curse of St Mary’s. :open_mouth::open_mouth::bat:

He’s not 28. No chance.
