šŸ‡®šŸ‡± Israel

I think the problem here is that the Spurs fans have conflated the Israeli state with Jewishness by flying the flag. Probably without being either Israeli or Jewish. Dumb Yids Army.
If Celtic are fined for their fans flying the Palestinian flag (the true Semites) then so should Spurs be.
Either way, Galloway is daft for an easily misconstrued (and easily punished) tweet and Spurs fans are thick as fuck for flying the flag of a racist murderous apartheid rogue state and talk radio are dumb for canning the only decent show on their schedule.

A great post. Although there is no chance of Spurs being fined like Celtic were, just imagine the uproar and shrieking allegations of anti-semitism against UEFA if they were. I think Galloway’s tweet should be put in context, Israeli flags were being waved in the stadium, to remark afterwards that there wouldn’t be an Israeli flag on the cup is probably fair comment. Certainly not anti-semitic, but sadly we have reached the stage where any reference to Israel is immediately greeted with hysterical accusations and demands that sackings should take place. Anyway, i doubt if Galloway gives a flying fuck, as he said this morning whenever he sees the Israeli flag being waved he always calls Israel out for their murderous treatment of Palestinians. He’s not going to change now. At least he is prepared to stand by his principles and refuses to be bullied into changing them.

Did Galloway condemn Iraq for their gassing of the Kurds?

Whataboutery.

And while we’re at it, Israel is a democracy or far more so than when Saddam has it, how did the ā€œsocialistā€ party there rule? By voting? Israel are in their eyes defending their borders, whether I agree with that is another thing altogether.
But let’s be honest, most Middle Eastern nations are torn by sectarianism and that’s nothing to do with the west, lines in the sand or politics.
Iran and Saudi are the reason, let’s cut to the chase.

Israel is a democracy? For 5 million Palestinians? And where are Israel’s borders? Nothing to do with the west? Have you been on the booze?

Palestine? What is that an idea? Tell me where it is? Do you know geo politics?

Deflection and distraction to go with your whataboutery.

With the greatest of respect you just appear to read headlines, where is Palestine?

Why should I engage with you Barry? You bring up Iraqis, Kurds and Saddam in response to a discussion about Galloway’s Israel flag comments. Go enjoy your holiday rather than fighting Bibi’s corner.

I’m merely asking questions and highlighting ignorance, go and ask an Arab Israeli what they think of joining arms with the Gaza and West Bank.
My head is in reality, not some wank protest banner.

And go and ask Palestinians if they think Israel is a democracy.

Of course they don’t, why would they? They’re oppressed, by the Israelis and by Fatah and Hamas, their faith restricts freedom of thought and advancement.
Go and check if I’m lying, in fact I ask you to.

Whatever Barry. We were discussing Galloway.

He’s a fucking weirdo who loves the headlines.

Buried beneath a brutal weight of Zionist oppression as you well know…

I’ve mentioned this book before. It could be very enlightening for some, as it appears to have been there for millennia.

"This rich and magisterial work traces Palestine’s millennia-old heritage, uncovering cultures and societies of astounding depth and complexity that stretch back to the very beginnings of recorded history. Starting with the earliest references in Egyptian and Assyrian texts, Nur Masalha explores how Palestine and its Palestinian identity have evolved over thousands of years, from the Bronze Age to the present day. Drawing on a rich body of sources and the latest archaeological evidence, Masalha shows how Palestine’s multicultural past has been distorted and mythologized by Biblical lore and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. In the process, Masalha reveals that the concept of Palestine, contrary to accepted belief, is not a modern invention or one constructed in opposition to Israel, but rooted firmly in ancient past. "

Are women’s and gay rights mentioned in this, it’s a stalling of a world not a progressive one.
