I got in, just got back now, the canal yesterday afternoon was superb, ha ha, the best that game not for quality or laughs or even the bevy but they were all good, it was the emotion, even saw the Dubai flag up up the top end, great day and Milan was great.
Ah, so that was the person standing next to Hugo when we took our selfie…
Glad you got back safe and sound mate and had a great time.
Where’s your mum, you didn’t leave her behind did you?
The Inter fans on their form to give them credit are saying we were the better team, that San Siro when full will be amazing, the size of the structure alone is amazing.
You got in then Baz … fair play to you mate
Brother Goat went without a ticket:
“Absolute piece of fucking piss. Could’ve 'ad as many fuckin tickets as I wanted.”

And speaking Italian with an 'ampshire accent wouldn’t have raised an eyebrow?
Actually, from my experience of Italy it probably wouldn’t.
As you were Goat
Longest article I’ve seen bigging up the Saints in a long time
Great that it’s in the US so builds the fan base.
Fuck guys…apart from the UK media we are a big club!!!
Ever since NBC did that documentary ‘The Southampton Way’ a couple of years ago they seem to have a soft spot for us. They certainly give the club and our acadamy a lot of coverage … Ralph Kruegers work I suspect.
As I have said elsewhere.
Should have won, could have won, didn’t win. Picked a bad night to have “one of those nights”, but when had football ever been that straight forward.
But what a great experience and night it was, well the whole trip was fantastic. As I travelled on my own, I spoke to many different Southampton fans on the plane, in a restaurant, in the bar, in the hotel, in the ground, on the metro and on the train. Southampton fans from all over the country. Did not stop talking on the flight out and back in. The great thing about football is you know you have that in common, you just talk Football. I have travelled a lot with work in the past and get on the plane, headphones in and read or sleep. I bought some headphones at the airport, but never even took them out the packet.
The whole trip was amazing, really amazing, but you still cannot hide behind the fact that we watch Saints to win games, of at least get a draw, but this dud not happen. A win and that trip would have topped a lot of the games I have had the privilege to have been at. -
ZDS Final
Upton Park 3-3
Dellhurst
Fa Cup semi final
FA Cup Final
JPT Final
San Siro
to watch Saints lift a major thophy has to be something I have to see, having only been 1 in 76!
Im fucking shattered though, but boy it was worth it!
So was your return journey delay free, Kev ?
Hopefully it was, so I can say “told you so”
“Hi honey, i’m homo”! I’m surprised she let you in the house to be honest!
No problem at all. Drive, park, flight, metro, train and then in reverse all absolutely fine. I would have swapped getting stuck for the win though, even if I would not have catered for 2 weddings today.
Told you so
Aah when you’re big in Milan-tonight
Drinking in Milan - all night.
Things are easy when you’re big in Milan
Oh when you’re big in Milan.
It may have been about 3am after the defeat and I was very, very, drunk at the time, but I seem to recall winning a long overdue game of “Where’s Eric?”. Photographic evidence may be available. (If I had a clue how to post it up!)
Just a shame I had missed our Golf Correspondant by 10 minutes.
One day I’ll tell you all about a 35 euro beer but I’m hungover and trying to watch the cricket.
