Has the Brexit argument been effectively won so

paywall. never seen this before on the telegraph.

On the plus side, now that the world is ending and all that will be left to fight over is one job in Sports Direct, all those youngsters who didn’t vote will now have more time to sit at home playing Fifa and wanking over LatvianNanny.com.

I just want to know if that is a real site without having to go to it.

:lou_facepalm_2:Dont be a Twat CB - anyone with a brain can see the frustration is in the fact that this issue has been decided by a minorirty who are exactly what you describe above - and that this question, should never have been exposed to thsat risk, given the way UKIP have been campaigning for this foor 10+ years, not just the last 2 months…

Yeah, but it’s about goats.

I rate it 4 stars, I barely lasted 20 seconds but could do with some categorisation.

Entrepreneurism can make this country great again :lou_wink_2:

1 I reserve the right to be a twat due my beer caveat

2 I missed “you are a twat”. from my list

3 I get the frustration, but the howling on social media is a little ridiculous.

4 It would have been absolutely the right thing to do to expose the electorate to the referendum if the vote had gone the other way

Are you genuinely expecting people to just say “oh well, let’s just get in with it” in the hours after the decision? It’s politics and people feel strongly about it.

Nope, a point I made on about page 5 - same applies to the remain voters but without the xenophobes, racists and general cunts. Should never have gone to a ref.

We seem to scream for democracy, but with that comes responsibility to at least try and understand or acknowledge ALL the elements of what you are deciding OR if too complex, elect leaders to be accountable for it. NOT take one issue that you have been fed lies about for 10+ years and let that define the decision…

The ONLY reason this went to a ref is because Cameron knew it was the only way to get the right of his party on his side. He gambled and lost… and Barry feels sorry for him! Bless… Two twats welcome to each other.

You’ve done yourself no favours today.

if one good thing has come out of this referendum, is that is has engaged the people in politics in a way that I have never seen before. I think the passion is a good thing. The condescending insults? Not so much.

if we can carry this engagement through to the next general election, that would be fantastic. (Unless Corbyn got in :lou_wink:)

Sorry? With all due respect, I have merely expressed an honest opinion and stand by it - if you wish to patronise, tell me, did you fall for this or do you condone it? either way that it does you ‘no favours’ … :lou_facepalm_2:

Farage ‘‘360m a week extra for NHS a mistake…’’

Sorry, wine-sodden rant starting…

ok, if Parliament had said that the demands from the EU over taxes/laws/sovereignty were no longer acceptable therefore Clause 50 was being invoked, would this have been more acceptable?

Or would the ignorant masses have howled and demanded a say?

As soon as an EU Referendum was muted and then confirmed, Pandora’s box was well and truly opened.

The fact that the political machina in this country made such an appalling pigs ear of the process etc is not Joe/Jo Public’s fault.

The fact that we allowed racism and immigration to be used as they were is our, the electorate, fault, 'cos we swallowed it up in true soap style.

We were led, duped and taken the cleaners, all of us, Remain and Leave alike, by the tales and fake campaigning, but we didn’t ‘fail’, our ‘leaders’ did - we don’t have the collective intelligence to make this type of decision. We don’t, we really, really don’t. The ramifications are simply too big.

This is why we have parliament, they should do this stuff for us - the fact they don’t have the balls to make the decision for us as a fucking awful indictment of the weakness of how we choose those who are supposed to act on our behalf. But they have let us down so badly.

I, sorry, we, including Mrs Nerd here, are fortunate that we are out of the ‘system’ - no loans, no mortgage, good pension so we voted for what our kids wanted as they wanted it for their kids, to Remain.

To say they now feel betrayed by their own country is an understatement.

We will see what happens in the next 2 - 5 years, any pandemonium now will be shortlived, the markets will stabilise in a couple of weeks or so, but it’s the long term effects we do not understand yet.

But, if a racist/xenophobic/ignorant Britain, is now what we face, I would prefer not to be part of it. It’s not ‘my’ England.

Little Englander Pap.

The guy who’s worldliness amounts to working visits to the US and N.Ireland.

Who uses his Pakistani relatives as a mask to hide his own ignorance of the world.

Fuck off you condescending prick.

Oh I say!

You’re a pair of armchair cloud cuckoo land fuckwits who have spouted utter shit all over this thread. Little Englanders is right. As a British Citizen living in an EU country in mainland Europe You’ve managed to fuck people like me over nicely though. And what the fuck for? Is this going to solve:

  1. the problems with the underfunded health system.

  2. the housing market

  3. the broken political system.

  4. the broken and extortionately priced higher education system.

  5. the vast wealth inequalities

  6. a job market skewed towards shitty badly paid service jobs.

  7. an unelected head of state

  8. etc…

Is it fuck, because all the issues are caused by vile, greedy fucking British cunts, not the fucking Europeans.

After denying your kids the opportunities you had in your homeland, You’ve now denied your kids the opportunity to free higher education, better healthcare and better opportunities in mainland Europe. The EU was actually a potential way out of the poverty stricken broken way of British life, but now youve contributed towards closing that off. Fucking mental.

You are fucking right I hate Britain Barry. All the evidence suggest its infested with cunts like yourself and Pap. Who the fuck are you? I don’t recognise you as my people.

Seconded!!

(not resident, but worked Hungary, Germany, Holland, Belgium, Portugal, Italy and Spain for 8 years)

I merely meant that the language used and your dismissal of over half the people of this country as racist, thick, uneducated idiots just because they have the temerity to hold different opinions to your good self marks you out an undesirable individual, unworthy of respect.

I happen to think everything on CBs list is correct and borne out in Lord Ashcroft’s polling.

My family and I are already looking at bringing forwards our plans to move over to Europe. This country and it’s sick values and dreams of Empires long gone is no longer a country I wish to call home.
