Has the Brexit argument been effectively won so

What happens if it’s a 49% - 49% result with the other 2 being spoiled ballots??

Why is this thread still going if the Brexit argument was all but won 17 pages back?

arm wrestle between Boris and Cameron

I’ll be voting remain and if the referendum results in leaving then that’s what I’ll accept. Because I’m not a massive fuckprick who bleats like a bitch when I don’t get my own way.

Moneys on Boris - after seeing him flatten that schoolkid at Rugby, he would kick DCs ass

It’s an article that’s been around a while (dated October 2015), but it does give an insight from a Norwegian perspective.

I find it interesting, because, Norway are often held up as an example of what we could aspire to (or, Albania - if you are Mr Gove. Ambition.), relationship wise - if we were to Leave. The idea that we’ll leave and just pick and choose what parts we’ll keep, and what parts we’ll ditch is fanciful - at best.

I also have other issues the the comparison, but I’ll park those for now.

It is, of course, an op-ed. So it should be taken as such.

We pay, but have no say

It will be similar to the Scot independence vote, this will never go away for the people who want to leave or for the vast majority, of course we’ll respect the democratic outcome (irrespective of the late registration) but most won’t stop now, why would they? And the EU will be dead in a few years anyway as others will want a vote on it and it will fall apart, we’re ahead of the game thats all.

This is a strongly made case for #Lexit (Left wing Brexit) by Labour Leave chair Kate Hoey.

The purpose of the EU, Barosso’s “antidote to democracy”, is to remove the opportunity to change anything.

Imagine a near-future where we have an elected left-ish government, under Corbyn, whose policies clash with the austerity measures the EU likes to impose on its members (witness its effective direct rule, over-riding the Greek electorate). Remember EU law is supreme and over-rules our own. Then will they realise what democracy means?

This is not about saving British democracy alone. The whole of Europe is in the grip of an autocratic coup by an increasingly powerful governing class which views people only as the functions of an economic system, whose diktats they are made to follow, no matter what the cost.

this weeks daft notion

Brexit could destabilise Northern Ireland

Tomorrow, I have it on good authority that a Brexit will make the sky fall in and Chicken Licken will be held up as a visionary by the You’re In brigade

My favourite so far is that the price of ice cream might go up.

Ben & Jerry’s?

In particular it was Magnums. The cost of Magnums might increase. A real scary thought. Bro from Walls was bitching bout possible increases to Import Taxes, but I didn’t even know they was made Overseas. Seems to me if that happens, maybe we’ll start making Ice Cream in England. I wonder if they factor that into the predicted Economic Disaster of Brexit.

Indeed it will.

If the pound goes down in value, the place is going to fucking swarming with cross border shoppers.

The German finance minister, the same fucker that destroyed Greece, has weighed in today. He says Britain won’t get access to the Single Market.

Amazed that he feels able to speak for the entire continent, but not really.

A Government minister warns voters against ‘Brexit’ as it would ‘overrule’ pro-EU MPs http://huff.to/1UabCMC

Well he can takes his BMWs and Mercedes and stick them up his arse

Are new cars going to become more expensive?

The woman is a fucking idiot.

Her complaint is the precise purpose of a fucking referendum.

To borrow a trouser-ism, people don’t like being told what to do shocker. The results of a survey in which respondents were asked whether big hitters convinced them one way, another or made no difference.

Boris has convinced 25% to Leave, but has also convinced 20% to Remain. (+5% Leave)

Cameron has convinced 15% to Remain, but convinced 29% to Leave. ** (+14% Leave)**

Farage is up. He’s convinced 25% to leave, but turned off 20% of voters (+5% Leave)

Corbyn has convinced 19% to remain, but 25% say they’ll Leave (+6% Leave)

**Obama’s ** intervention got 16% to Remain, but pissed off 24% (+8% Leave)

**Trump’s ** comments convinced 10% to stay, but 19% to Leave (+9% Leave)

How credible that it, god only knows - but it is funny nonetheless
