The ground is highly regarded now - after its teething troubles. But I think Rod Bransgrove has had a less than ideal relationship with some of the top people at the ECB. âHateâ might be too strong a word - but they donât seem to do us many favours. No Ashes test until at least 2022 - while Durham have had one and Cardiff get a second in seven years this time. And the pitch penalties - theyâve been very unforgiving about anything at the Rose Bowl, while, as I said, dodgy pitches elsewhere go unpunished
Disappointing result in the T20 for Hampshire as they lost to Sussex in front of 7,200 at the Aegis Bowl.
Still, we remain handily placed in the table

Yes!!

Shame about last night but never mind - all they have to do is finish fourth to get in the knock-outs then anything can happen. In 2010 we snuck fourth from Essex on run rate and then won the competition at the Rose Bowl
Ah - youâre right. Thanks. I was sat behind an obnoxious group of Spurs/Essex fans at the RB, so it was v sweet to see them off in the semi, before the Somerset team gave us all a definition of âbrain fartâ applied to a cricketing context in the last ball of the final
In traditional football talk, theyâre having a mare.
Youâre not wrong, Rallyboy!
Weâre not exactly building on our last improved Div 1 performance
Somerset require 64 runs to win with all of their second innings wickets remaining.
I wonât be doing any sniping of screen-shots after this one, Bob.
Have some faith Halo, the bowlers could do it, or it might rain, or Eric Roe could streak across the pitch, hurdling the bails on the wayâŚ
What colour is the sky in your world, Bob?
Somerset 33 with all second innings wickets intact.
Blue but with some clouds, unfortunately the clouds are pretty static and not whipping their way west ready to unload their contents on the Rose BowlâŚ
Acch, so I was mixing my streakers up, youâre getting far too cocky with this image link malarkyâŚ
Am I missing something here?
Have we just played and badly lost a vital championship match without Vince because he was called up to play for England only to find that he wasnât even selected to play in the end?
A very dark night for Hampshire as they lose to Essex in the T20 by 78 runs.
78 runs ffs!
A very bad week. Am going to Lordâs tomorrow so hope for a change in fortunes
Put in to bat. Adams out 4th ball for 0. Wonder if SO5 was one of the few to see the start.
