He’s a funny guy - always interesting to hear speaking, you don’t get standard over the moon comments from Tomlinson, interviewers will miss him.
S0, at stumps yesterday
Surrey vs Durham 393-9 after being 232-7, that’s 4 probably 5 batting points coming their way
Middlesex 258-3 vs Lancs, 1 bowling point for Lancs at the moment
Yorkshire 145 vs Somerset 107-1, looks like Yorkshire ain’t going to win the Championship this time around.

So Surrey have one eye on the RL final and are not bothering, as expected, wankers!!!
So… the best hope we have is Warks do us a favour against Lancs next week, and we beat Durham. Two draws for Lancs plus associated bonus points may well seem them safe.
Boo.
All we can do is beat Durham and let everything else do it’s thang.
Durham 401 ao, 5 batting points
Middlesex 263-5, still only 1 bowling point for Lancs
If the Durham game drifts out to a draw, which is highly probably then Durham will be 16 points, plus any bowling points, ahead of us.
Looks like Lancs are the team we need to stumble now, and they now have 2 bowling points
Middlesex 327 all out
Lancs currently 0-1
Lancs 3-2, c’mon Middlesex
Man alive, nine wickets in just over two hours play at Old Trafford? Lancs now 4-2. What did they do to that strip overnight?
Ohhh, 6-3
Even more Ohhh, 6-4
Buttler now in. Shit or bust.
Buttler 15 off of 11 so far.
Bust. Goes for 16 off 15 balls. 32-5.
Surrey 131-3. Long way to go…
This doesn’t seem politically correct to me
Leo Sayer coming in off his short run…
There’s a possible upside if Durham do beat Surrey: they will then be safe from relegation and perhaps less motivated going into their final fixture with us; they might even give some debuts to some of their younger players.
So, for me, the more important fixture taking place atm is Middlesex v Lancs. So far, so good, with Lancs only picking up 2 bowling bonus points; but what we could really do with is Middlesex bowling out Lancs for less than 200 and, of course, going on to win the game, which would mean Lancs would only be 7 points ahead of us going into their final fixture with Warwickshire, who would be 8 points clear of us.
Lancs currently staging a recovery – now 102/5.
Come on Middlesex, ffs.
Surrey have avoided the follow on and are some 160+ runs behined with 7 wickets remaining.
Rain delay at Lancs
