šŸ“ŗ GOOD SHOWS (no capeshit pls)

It was a shame it wasn’t continued. I’d hoped maybe it would be picked up elsewhere.

I understand that there’s sometimes a fine line between maintaing a good show and ruining it, but I believe it was cancelled rather than finishing.

Maybe the theories and conspiracies were true…

Utopia was amazing, visually just unique, not sure a 3rd series would have worked.

Most of it was shot in parts of Liverpool, locked off shots and graded.

The cinematography certainly was stunning.

Whilst sick in bed the last few days I watched all 6 episodes of The Living and the Dead on BBC. It’s up on iplayer. Slightly on the Poldark side with lots of beautifully lit Somerset scenery. But it’s all a bit spooky and ghostly. I quite enjoyed it. Some elements weren’t great but won’t go into that if anyone is going to watch it.

Now on episode 3 of Versailles which I am finding a little tedious. Anyone else?

I assume you lot all watch Dr Barry Gale’s weekly offering - Murder in Successville?

Caught a bit while on hols. Deliciously naff old school comedy with modern bad taste.

Love Gordon Ramsay in it

Just making our way through The Disappearance.

No spoilers please, because right now everyone did it.

Shout out for Ray Donovan which started a new series on Atlantic last night. It’s got a good cast; Jon Voight has been terrific as the scumbag father and Eddie Marsan is such a good actor, anything with him in is worthy of watching. Liev Schrieber is brilliant in the title role.

Yes, I thought it had promise when it started out but getting bored with it now. Especially irritated by the after show ā€œThronecastā€ type add on which really doesnt work, probably because of the awful presenters.

I’m ploughing on as now started and feel I need to finish. Is it Inside Versailles ? Not watched it but think I will miss that.

Excellent series - glad to see it back for season 4 - one seriously fucked up family yet one taht you cant help have some sympathy for…is a warpd and twisted way … brilliant stuff

That’s a great cast. Thanks, I’m running out of TV stuff to watch

Yes, it comes on after the end credits. It is quite informative but the presenters are a bit odd. We are sticking with it too as we have invested some time in it but as costume dramas go it is not one of the Beebs finest moments.

I sort of gave up half way through the first season, just couldn’t get into it and his wife, played by Paula Malcolmson, her voice used to annoy the fuck out of me!!
