đŸ“ș GOOD SHOWS (no capeshit pls)

Don’t try and trick me, pap. Just cos you like to waste your time watching i.e. 36 hours worth of Gotham, don’t try & force it on me.

So this isn’t a _Good Show _(sorry Bear), but has anyone seen Sex Box?

Girl was watching it the other night, and I genuinely think it is the most bizarre ‘reality’ show I’ve seen.

It’s all in a studio, with an audience, Steve Jones and a Sexpert. People come on, talk about what they are going to do to each other. Steve Jones makes some bad jokes and involves the audience, the Sexpert talks about it a bit. The people lock themselves in this box (right in the middle of the sudio), the audience clap, cheer & applaud the people on their way into the box.

After the people in the box have finished doing whatever it is they wanted to do to eachother, they come back out the box (to another round of applause and cheering) and have another chat about what they just did to eachother, the Sexpert has her say and Steve Jones makes some more naff jokes to the audience.

This is then repeated a few more times.

'Kin weird. I don’t get people who think, I’m scared to try this intimate thing with my partner, so to make it easier - I’ll go on tele, and do it in a box with a room full of people who know exactly what I’m doing.

Seriously, this is weird. Right?

That sound like gd show, but wouldn’t it be better without the box?

Edit: Do the couples know each other or are they strangers selected from the Audience?

That doesn’t need a TV show, that’s porn. I know you know what this is, I used to read your reviews (they was good content, btw)

Ha sorry, should have clarified that part.

Yes, they are couples that come on the show together. Well, people that come on the show together (no pun intended).

One of the couples I saw were just two pals that wanted to try bonking each other. Why does this need to be on tele? Just neck a few Tequila’s and that shit will happen naturally. Or at least I think that’s how it works. I’ve been out of the courting business so long I don’t really know anymore.

Interesting. What happens while the freaks are in the box. Do we just sit there waiting?

It isn’t live. They just cut that part.

Would be much better if they had three boxes to pick from and one is a giant microwave.

I’ve seen the trailers for the box sex show and decided to give it a miss. As you say why do you need a TV show to do those things.

Watched all 6 episodes of Camping over the weekend, from the pen of Julia Davis of Hunderby fame. If you like gross and dark humour this builds to a suitable climax and plumbs the depths that we saw in Hunderby. Recommended.

Peaky Blinders new series on tomorrow

Seres 3 of Nashville now on Sky Box Sets - Country meets ‘Dallas’ :lou_is_a_flirt: Guilty pleasure :lou_surprised:

OK an apology in a moment, but watched Lucifer EP 2 tonight. LOVE IT!

It SHOULD be avaiable to download for binge watching (It was a Fox Series) and was renewed for a second season in April

In the Beginning God expelled the Angel Lucifer and made him the Lord of Hell. Then Lucifer decided to take a Vacation in Los Angeles

I thought it was just my whacked out sense of humour that made me love it, but Mrs D_P is also now a huge convert.

Although whether it is just the clever jokes (Oh a small human thing, is this yours? (throws doll) off you go then, fetch
) or maybe it is Tom Ellis.

And the non-stop jokes about the female Cop & her early career with her Bewbs out in Hot Tub High School is a gift that keeps giving as well.

Oh Shit it could be classed as Capeshit
Without Capes just seen it’s a DC creation! (May get Pap away from fvcking boring us all to death on Twitter for a day though

This horror black comedy series is based on the characters created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth and Mike Dringenberg for DC Entertainment’s Vertigo imprint. It’s the story of the original fallen angel — Lucifer.

Bored and unhappy as the Lord of Hell, Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis) has abandoned his throne and retired to Los Angeles. There, he owns an upscale nightclub named Lux. Charming, charismatic and devilishly handsome, Lucifer is enjoying his retirement, indulging in a few of his favorite things — wine, women and song.

His bliss is disturbed when a beautiful pop star is brutally murdered outside of his club. For the first time in roughly 10 billion years, he feels something awaken deep within him as a result of this murder. Could it be (perish the thought) compassion or sympathy?

These thoughts disturb both Lucifer and his best friend and confidante, Mazikeen aka Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt). Maze is a fierce demon who’s taken the form of a beautiful young woman.

The murder outside the club attracts the attention of LAPD homicide detective Chloe Decker (Lauren German). She’s initially dismissive of Lucifer but she soon becomes intrigued by his talent for drawing out people’s secrets. Chloe also likes his desire to dispense justice, doling out punishment to those who deserve it.

As they work together to solve the pop star’s murder, Lucifer is struck by Chloe’s inherent goodness. Accustomed to dealing with the absolute worst of humanity, Lucifer is intrigued by Chloe’s apparent purity and begins to wonder if there’s hope for his own soul yet.

At the same time, God’s emissary, an angel named Amenadiel (DB Woodside), has been sent to Los Angeles to convince Lucifer to return to the underworld.

Can the Devil incarnate be tempted toward the side of Good — or will his original calling pull him back toward Evil?

Lucifer, or at least this incarnation of him, began life in Neil Gaiman’s Sandman comic book series. This’ll be one of the big reasons I gave Phil so much shite for thinking Once Upon a Time was anything new.

Sandman, which focuses on the Lord of Dreams, has a huge extended universe featuring previously established characters from biblical, mythical and real life. Alistair Crowley looms large in the early stuff.

The capeshit angle is a bit difficult to quantify. No doubt that this version of the character belongs in the comics,. and if memory serves, earlier books actually made references into the DC Universe. Eventually, the comic became its own self-contained thing, with no need to reference anything else. In fact, the references felt jarring from the start.

If it is capeshit, it’s a nugget that fell from the arse of one of the most critically acclaimed series ever. My only gripe is that we’ve only got this bit, and not the wider (and fantastic) Sandman universe.

Watched the new episode of Downton Abbey last night. Things have changed since we visited last; there’s a load of new characters with Birmingham accents, and they’ve ramped up the sex & violence a little bit. Otherwise, it’s much the same.

Should have mentioned that I am up to date on The Americans, dubbed “the best show nobody watches”.

In an effort to sell this to Bear, unimpressed so far, I’m going to share a revelation that dawned on me last night. Structurally, it’s not that different from a gangster show. The authorities are the antagonists, the Soviet Embassy is basically the wider mob and our heroes employ many of the same tricks (inside information, murder & blackmail) to keep their operation running.

One thing that does make me double take almost every time I watch the show is this guy.

If you’re anything like me, he’ll do your head in, even if you know who he is. I didn’t at first, but it kept on bothering me so I looked it up. I knew I knew him.

Unfortunately, knowing this hasn’t really helped. Because the Waltons was set so long ago, I just keep thinking “oh hey wow! there’s Old Father time!”.

if you think the presence of jon boy walton is gonna sell me a show pap, ur deeply mistaken srs. You would do better to mention the enjoyable storylines in season 1, where Keri Russell had to go round sexing strangers.
