Black Sails is back again for another series but they seem to have done away with the scriptwriter and replaced every other word with āfuck.ā
Just started watching The Night Manager, looks quality.
Apart from the frequent sex scenes, it is worth watching for Adam Driverās gonzo performances.
Been watching this with the gf.
Itās mostly enjoyable, though the storyline is a bit crap. Iād say itās worth a go though.
Not sure about some of the accents mind.
I have been watch that. It is easy viewing + high production values + Hugh Laurie (I like Hugh Laure) + the short bro from the movie bout The Thick Of It, whatever that was called (I like the short bro from the movie bout The Thick Of It, whatever that was called. He is gd acting. He plays a Homosex). There is also a blonde bird with small tits, but she is still Hot.
Couldnt have summed it up any better Bear!
Just watched Murdered by my Father on BBC iplayer. Pretty hard hitting. But well acted and great writting by a young playwright.
I also watched all of Thirteen now and thought that was incredibly well done.
Loved Trapped and all itās snow and ice and blasted through 5 episodes on Friday to finish it all.
Loving HAPPYish big time. It is like my last few years at the CPS. Just cant work out how an obvious English bloke fits in with the whole concept. Steve Coogan is excellent but is seems very odd that he is suuposed to fit in with the American surroundings as if he was always where when he is SO British?
Steven Soderberg TV show called āThe Knickā. Early 1900ās NY, Clive Owen plays a drug addicted surgeon in a city hospital. All locations are real, ambitious camera the soundtrack is great ⦠electronic but kind of of itās day.
Walking dead season finale on Monday
Watched. Oh my. How long to wait to know what happens!
Oh no. Did the ppl they thought were good ppl, turn out to be bad ppl?
I was up until 1am this morning. The Americans made me do it!
If youāre still none the wiser, The Americans is a spy show set in the 1980s concerning the exploits of two Soviet illegals, trained from a very young age to integrate and operate in American society. The show is presently airing its fourth season.
I really like the leads. Keri Russell is particularly good as a chameleon agent, and although co-lead Matthew Rhys acts very well, he basically looks like Matthew Rhys in an interesting wig most of the time. Russellās Elizabeth seems to be able to play anything or be anything, from stunner to someone so dowdy as to be practically invisible.
There are strong supporting performances too. Frank Langella owns several scenes as their come-out-of-retirement handler, but the smartest move was to ensure that they employed Soviets that actually know how to speak Russian. Compare and contrast with say, Sons of Anarchy, which didnāt even seem to care if its actors had heard of Ireland, let alone an Irish accent, and you appreciate the care that went into it.
Canāt believe ur still watching that. I tapped out halfway through season 2.
Watched backlog of this from HD on Friday night - _ LOVINā _ it! Canāt wait for next now.
Itās a fine show, in my estimation. Does a lot with a little, elevated by the performance of the actors. Season three introduced a bit of a game changer, giving them even more plates to spin.
Iām up to date on the Americans, which remains as good as ever. The screws are starting to tighten on one of their key informants, information about their activities has gone beyond their family. The sleeper agents the show centres on need to do more and more. I can see a lot of regulars dying by the end of this season.
I have started watching a new show, or new for me, anyway. Outlander - about a 1945 woman who is transported back into mid 18th century Scotland. It has been picking up decent reviews in its second season, and is helmed by Ronald D Moore, erstwhile of Deep Space 9 and the re-imagined Battlestar Galactica. Great female lead acting as a window into this world, and from what Iāve seen, very nicely done so far.
I donāt find pap a v.reliable tipster when it comes to Gd Shows. I would take his Gd Shows with a pinch of Salt, if I was you. I have seen Outlander. It is not Gd Shows. It is v.Boring show of the genre Historical Romantic Porn for American Housewives.
I bet youāve seen three episodes of Outlander, if that.
Second season is getting much better reviews than the first. Many shows take time to find their feet. I reckon you need to give things more time and investment, Bear.
I am still quest for Gd Shows tho. I have stopped watching the following shows bc they are not gd shows:
BANSHEE - This was gd shows for a while, but I was only still watching cos I like looking at Lili Simmons naked, but in first episode of new season they kill her off so I am not watching this anymore.
LUCIFER - I quite liked the Pilot, so I watched this for a while, but I am not v.interest anymore so I have stopped watching this.
**LIMITLESS ** - I gave up after prob 5 episodes. It is dumb show. Ironically.
ALMOST THERE - This is a new show. I havenāt quite given up on it yet cos I quite like a couple of the characters, but the premise is v.thin, itās about a bro who meets a bird in a bar, and realises too late that he needs to bang her, but he hasnāt got her name or number so heās trying to find her to bang her. There is only so far you can go with this before it gets Annoying.
**CONTAINMENT ** - This is a new show about a virus outbreak in Atlanta, and how the CDC quarantine a large section of the city. Iāve only seen First Episode. On the face of it, the first episode was v.dumb. What happens is a foreign bro walk into a hospital being ill, and the doctor immediately realises that this is gonna be a Patient Zero situation, and he is carrying a previously unheard of Deadly SuperVirus, and the government manages to get mobilised and shut the whole city of Atlanta down within hours. This is v.dumb, it doesnāt work like that, _unless _Iām thinking, right, that the virus outbreak has been orchestrated by the Government for pap reasons, which is why they are so well prepared for quarantine a whole City. I might watch a couple more episodes to find out RIP
