that sherlock think at new years was shit, weren’t it? Did anyone watch that? It was shit.

Haven’t seen it, but this news potentially causes me problems. This was quite a classy show when it first aired, and they had that knock-off Jonny Lee Miller and Lucy Liu thing still set in contemporary times, only in America, called Elementary. I immediately christened this show “Shit Sherlock”. Juvenile Unit #2 was impressed enough with the designation that she taunted an Elemental at school with it.

If actual Sherlock is shit, where does that leave me?

Settled down to watch the first War and Peace last night (I figure it will save me reading the damn thing) and was pleasantly surprised. It is shaping up well with decent production values.

Minor spoilers.

Not at all, my fine fellow. It’s classy TV; most of the focus is on the characters and the growing manifestation of their connections. Does cool shit occur? Of course it does. It would be a complete fucking waste if you had all these people connected and all they did was solve crossword puzzles together.

The show’s best moments are when one or more of them are in sync. They don’t have special powers, but they can do the things that any of the others can do. A small example that won’t spoil much; one of the characters can pick handcuff locks. Another draws on this knowledge in an hour of need in a later scene. Needless to say, there are much bigger moments, including the end of the third episode, which was ace.

Aye, it was fucking terrible. Confused as fuck.

Presenting suffragettes as a klan like movement, focusing on women’s rights but having no women characters playing a real role, and then Cumberbund mansplaining women’s rights to the women. Whu dafuq wrote this crap?

Tbh, was never a huge fan. I don’t like Cumberbatch much and found the show generally dull.

Last Man on Earth

Making of a murderer

South Park

Orange is the new black

Fargo

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt

Silicon Valley

Coming Soon (New Seasons):

Black Sails

Its Always Sunny in Phillidelphia

Workaholics

All can be watched for free here - http://www.couchtuner.ag/

I am glad I am not alone in not warming to Benny Cabbagepatch.

Having watched Black Sails and Silicon Valley I can add my endorsement to both.

I don’t know how you lot get the time to watch so much telly. Do you not have lives away from the couch?

We have now started on Deutschland 83 (finished ep 3 tonight). I am struggling with it a bit. Just thinking he’s a bit shit at being a spy. Admittedly I don’t have any experience of being a spy so maybe I am being harsh.

Finally got round to watching Fargo. It’s good.

Oh, and I watched Orange is the new Black up to about episode 6. Its good to start with, a new idea, a likeable lead character and a good story. But after about episode 3 it slows down and becomes a kind of Casualty (as was) set in a prison, i.e. its a soap opera and not very much happens. Have given up and would not recommend it, sorry.

Am on Narcos now, episode 5 and completely hooked.

Not sure if mentioned by the Matthew Baynam drama/comedy on Sky 1 recently with Rob Lowe et all was fantastic. You me and the Apocalypse. Well worth a watch

OK an “INCOMING” update and thoughts on returning series from USA

Vinyl starts very soon & looks REALLY interesting - Martin Scorsese & Mick Jagger are Executive Producers.

X Files returns this Tuesday in a Mini-Series Woo Hoo!

And Agent Carter returns for a 2nd Series - I find that so annoying and Art Deco and yet underneath all that Red Lipstick Hayley Atwell is just waiting to pop out and
 Ah

Well under 100 days until GoT returns. (April 23rd) - already being advertised here!

Gave up with Dominion & Minority Report - seems all the latter offered were Bewbs strapped inside too small Tee Shirts - might have worked if they’d popped out or been surrounded by actors with skill or even a story.

Good old Defiance is back and still running as a screwed up Sci Fi Western, it meanders along but it’s claustrophobic little Universe is entertaining.

And God Bless American Idol is back. Because that means it is the Final season and will be no more very soon. While we both hate the cringeworthiness of the entire enterprise, the early audition shows are so worth watching for the Banter between JLO, Keith Urban & Harry Conick Jnr. When it gets to the shows then it is meh and won’t be missed

Mike Tyson Mysteries

A show my missus refuses to watch just because of the title. Shame.
