⛺ Glastonbury 2019

I missed you too darling.

For your information I did not queue for anything but traffic and water.

I did not go see Kylie, but I didn’t have to. I was up by my tent. We had a pretty good view. The missus queued for Kylie, but she not only has shite taste in music, but inexplicably tries to tell other people, especially me, that their taste is shit.

She, like you, is a lover of dog music. Easy, accessible shite that licks your balls and wants you to like it, basically unlistenable after it has been played a few times. The only reason she’s not a Quo fan is because her dad liked them first.

Well, that’s it. It’s all over. Finished.

When do the next lot of tickets go on sale?

It appears you stayed in a tent for 5 days, I’d have charged you a tenner for that for my shed mush, my musical taste are wide and varied, from shite pop all the way round to shite pop but I can assure you mush I grew up listening to good ole rock music, you probably grew up to Dire Straights and Phil Collins…

I saw an article that they don’t film the late night stuff in SE corner so people can be anonymous.
I went a few years ago with a friend to the area but ended up watching the Turbans in a small venue up around Greenfields. They were on West Holts this year.
I go during the day. Maybe in 2017 instead of watching BBK we should have done SE. Now I’m a bit better with crowds I will try next time.

October. You need to register 1st.
Then share numbers with mates then have a plan and then pray
Going full Bazza for 2020.
Fleetwood Mac & Neil Young most likely
I can just see Mick Fleetwood doing a DJ Set to 100 people at Strummerville or a walk on with Lewis Capaldi or Dave & Alex

I’ll try and get tickets as always, there are many hypocrisies in the attempt in getting a ticket for Glastonbury, the planning for one is against a laid back attitude the festival purports, the absolute sheer sharp elbowed capitalism in people trying to buy tickets is again not lost upon me, nor are the same continuance of the same people every time, do they not see the irony in they’re selfishly consciously or not taking others fun as they may have not been?

Should be a policy of 1 year on 1 year off and 75% of the tickets go to the under 30’s.

It’d keep it relevant, fair and it would give it every chance to survive.

Pretty sure

  1. Average age was much lower this year
  2. Racial diversity showed a marked increase
  3. The under 30s pull more tricks than you could imagine in their planning, in fact they are more tech savvy than Pap in terms of VPNs etc.
  4. Register share your numbers and let’s do it ( ie one from group gets through they buy for all)

And yet, despite your bleatings, you deem it acceptable for parents to bring their infant children along, dragging their offspring through mud, rain and around 250,000 people that have come from all over the world to get spannered.

Ih, strangely nobody has a bad word to say about the organisation or mix in fact we had a great time with 4 20 something lasses from Liverpool over the weekend.“we put their dressing up efforts to shame” for Kylie ( 2 families opposite us in campervan field)
Also because of the weather kids had a great time this year. Seeing 5 year olds crying last night because it was all over sums it up

Why can’t children go? Pap if you want an adult weekend I can arranged that for you. Are you implying people go there just to get wasted? I hope thats a biproduct of the good music and not the other way around?
I think you want all the fun, now don’t get me wrong my children won’t be going but I see no problem at all with it.
For an inclusive festival of free spirited thinking you sure sound like a close minded fascist mush.

I’d love to see the demographic, if young people continually get turned away they’ll go elsewhere and where will Glastonbury be then?
I’m saying this and it would stitch me up further but I am fair.
I love Glastonbury and want it to stay, I can’t see how it can (unless they make it bigger) in its current way, sure festivals may become less popular but Glastonbury will be at the end of that queue.

Infants you pleb.

They’re crap at regulating heat and haven’t had the opportunity to develop strong immune systems.

My daughter goes to infant school, if they’re 1 then or course I totally agree but 5 years of age? Up to the parents.

Quo.

I’ve no problem with three year olds going. At least they can tell their parents if something is wrong.

After you see the 100th baby in a cart being dragged around by their self-indulgent parents, you realise something they don’t.

They’re not lugging their kids about. They’re lugging their shame.

She said YES!

Think the whole world saw his proposal

BBC News - Glastonbury proposal: Man uses fly-past as Kylie performs

It appeared to be a much younger crowd this year. Really it did. I was near the front for The Cure and honestly felt the oldest in that area. There were young girls up on shoulders in the more upbeat songs. Have to say that surprised me but also made me happy to see them enjoying the music as much as I did. I was singing along throughout which got some odd looks from one young man.

Wowzers. Think that maybe a bit harsh about the lugging their shame.

I am not 100% about small babies, not because of infections etc, but because they aren’t necessarily going to enjoy the noise and chaos (I don’t some of the time but I am adult enough to make sense of it all).

Think Bazza needs to redefine his view of edgy.
Not just Stormzy, but also the huge LGBT messaging including Christine & The Queens, and the 42% female artists.
Olly Alexander was a perfect illustration in his set (Years & Years)
Embraced it but bet there were Sunday lunches being spat out

Even the Nitrous Oxide Essex crew next to us most of Sunday were into it
