Just say no kids! Just say no.
We are on our way.
Move then.
It was a dream to do Glasto properly and boom! She was fit to travel the 5 miles from Castle Cary!
We got her here, no queues, we’re set up and finishing 1st beer.
And yes, I’m wearing Crocs no sign of wellies anywhere.
Staying outside tonight BBQ later then heading in tomorrow. Cool pleasant cloudy & a breeze.
I’m in having a cold cider. Our campsite is max 15 mins walk from gate B.
We can see the ribbon tower from our site.
Stunning start. Place is even more amazing. We’ve walked the whole site in 2 hours no wellies brilliant
You guys are going to have great time - the weather is perfect.
Compare that to download a couple of weeks ago.
Anyway on Saturday I will toast you all with a Gevrey Chambertin in Gevrey Chambertin
We’ve had a bit of a walk around the Park area. Managed to get by some stewards to have a sneaky peak at Glastonbury by sea pier.
Campsites are great. I can hear someone snoring now. May be me later.
Lol you took pic of pink boat I snapped the tractor monster next to it!
Place was bouncing last night. Park was rammed so moved straight through it. A Real Ale bar between Other & Pyramid was home to singing dancing millenials who all just dumped their empties on the floor lazy sods.
Walked across Pyramid & damn that wind was COLD.
Saw the fireworks on way back for vodkas
Should have worked out I needed more layers from Nick
Staggered into bed about 1am. Woke with hypothermia about 3am. Jeez it was cold!!
Woke at 7’20 portaloos had just been cleaned. Coffee & Worthy FM before a fry up and heading in later couple of pub gigs to find and looking for Frank Turner about 9pm.
Will be a tougher day lugging chairs but what a start.
The whole SE Ccorner is just insane could spend the whole weekend there
Does this compare to @Polski_Filip shirt?
Heading to Beans on toast at 14.45.
Likely see you at Frank at 20.00!
Yes it got cold waiting for those fireworks. The layers I took with me took a bit of the chill off. Taking more today.
Have you noticed that is seems a v young crowd. I’m trying to spot all those baby boomers that someone keeps going on about.
Saw quite a few peeing on the land and lots of rubbish dumped when a bin was about 4 metres away.
Way younger crowd and they dont get it yet dropping their trash anywhere.
Scene at Village In
Bloody hot today Deffo a Frank Turner tonight hope that frees us up for Fatboy tomorrow.
Cannot believe how easy it is getting around 2nd day with no chairs! Even had a snooze on the grass by Pyramid stage.
#buzzing
Go on Phil! You know you want to!
See you there!
Bright orange/yellow dry fit blue golf cap!
Queues? Last time i went to Glastonbury, once you were in, that was it until it finished. Has it turned into Reading?
Pic looks great wherever you are situated.
Aye, my last was ‘91… only queues were for the better plastic bogs and that was only 5mins or so… no queues for the shit trench
Think there were only about 50,000 then though … and zero fucking flags. How folks put up with that at a gig I have no idea - selfish ego shit… I always went for the music and general vibe but think it’s just too big if you want to actually enjoy the folks you want see… Think it was also only about £45 then as well
Mid 90s for me and when people asked for a comparison to Reading, the biggest difference was the freedom. Got a whole valley compared to constant queues was always the difference of Glastonbury. Times change, we’re just old(i’m comparing us with Phil for fucks sake. We need to move on). All the pics make me feel i’d take what it is now over work in a heartbeat.
Oh well, more wine turned up yesterday
The Ku Klux Klan are ruthless for getting to Frank Turner concerts early…
