⛺ Glastonbury 2019

Robert Smith isn’t edgy in so many ways…

Tbf nobody knew what they were going to get, so in a way you’re right-

So what if it was 1985 - it was a hell of a way to kick off the day though wasn’t it?

These days I’m not too keen on a lot of 2019 musical beat combos or the institution of Glastonbury tbh (though this thread continues to amuse) but I don’t slag off other people’s taste in music, as dubious as it may be - (for my taste).

Mate.

True that.

I might find out what my taste is one day.
For someone who hates rap & hip hop, seeing JazZ Kanye Tiny Tempah & Plan B and enjoying all except Kanye and hating really heavy metal & seeing Queens of the Stone Age & Metallica.
But still love our man Don

At least James Arthur ain’t playing

This would be edgy…meant to paste it on the wot I’m Listening thread but hey, why not here.

There is of course a Ukele flashmob. Sessions where they teach everyone some chords and bash out a tune. On my to find list

Funnily enough I’ve asked for one for Birthdays, Xmas etc for years, but the family can only think of bloody George Formby. I’d kill him if he wasn’t already dead…

I think it’s good that they got Quo out of the way early. I am really not a fan. I get that they’re very easy listening for people that want to dabble with a little bit of light rock, but most of their songs either sound the same or in the case of In The Army Now, fucking dull.

Perfect fayre for a stadium full of people that haven’t listened to them. Probably torture for everyone else.

To be fair to Baz, I would rather watch the Quo than any of the main stages line ups

My #2 absolutely must see of the weekend.
Wear diapers

More than any other year, I am going with the flow. IDLES are a must, and for that reason, I’ll be trucking to The Park well before they start.

I am torn on Friday. I’ve listened to some Frank Turner, and while I like it, I suspect Stormzy is going to blow everyone away.

JayZ was at least musical but everything I’ve listened to of Stormzy is just a noise innit.
No doubt at all that his show will blow away anything else that weekend just (like Radiohead couple of years ago) the music will just send us home early

I think there’s a huge difference between listening to things at home to hearing something live.

The bass is going to boom through the Pyramid on Friday.

Home @glasto = Campervan field
Can hear everything from there but it’s where my earplugs will be stashed :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Still Quo

This proves you know fuck all about music. I’m beginning to think you’re a latecomer to things in life, thats not a crime, but its a crime not to know.

Is there a stuck record on here?

Come and watch Stormzy with us. If you dont like it head to Frank (but he’s probably also on Thursday)
