When I arrived at the job, Bingley Hall in Stafford, I’d been told by my boss it was “just some pop group I’ve never heard of, so it’s probably just a fucking CP80, you’ll be home in an hour.”
To be faced with an actual proper 9 foot Yamaha concert grand. With four broken strings. Then having finished the job, they asked if I wanted something to eat. I pointed out that I was going out for dinner with the girlfriend, whereupon they pointed out that they were doing two shows that night and it had to be tuned again after the first one. So I saw the first show, then got back onstage to discover two more broken strings and twenty minutes to fix them.

Wanderlust festival yesterday in Southampton, over 3 venues. My highlights were Icelandic band Dream Wife at The Joiners and The Orielles at the 1865.
Eldest Son is on tour with his German metal band TV Cult.
It’s going well.
They just rocked up to a club in Austria.
And checked out who else played there in the day.
Suffice to say they are well pumped

Really excellent tribute band. I think they’re playing the Brook later in the year, I can thoroughly recommend them.

Saw these while England were fumbling through the Denmark game. The singer worked with Kossoff back in the day, and still sounds great. Really enjoyed this one.
On a side note, I’ve been waiting my whole life for the opportunity to crack just this one gag…
