Saw my nephew’s band last night, Stax of Soul, at the Coach and Horses in Sutton Scotney. I’ve seen his jazz band before, but this was the first time I’ve seen the covers band.
They really are good. Great choice of material, and they went down a storm. If anyone fancies catching them, they’re playing the Old George in Fair Oak tonight.
What’s The George like these days? Schoolmate of mine ran it for a while but not been in there for a few years.
I’ve no idea, tbh. Don’t think I’ve ever been in there.
