Hehe. Isorry
Assumed i was the only one curatong this bad boy
Further - Iāve got to the bit where my boat is fully upgraded but I actually need to go do missions now.
I do like the little bits of wonder, such as the whales - but then I have been a sucker for whales in games ever since playing Starglider 2.
Have you managed to get all the mythical fishing gear?
Not yet. Guessing some of these are mission rewards.
Side missions. Just need to find the locations.
I bought the early access to Starfield, ir Spacerim as the wags on the Internet are reffering to it. Thats what it is.
It was onitially tough to go back to 30fps, but i can see why theyve made the choice to go for better visuals. It reakly does look nice.
However, it will be the stories that people play it for. They are a lot of fun and allow a lot of different approaches to be taken.
How are you finding it a couple of days later? Iāve purchased it (PC) and had some issues preventing me from booting the game, which Iāve now sorted thankfully, but that didnāt really leave me any time to play on Sunday evening before I made the dreaded return to school the next morning!
Now Iām getting back into the routine of it all and the initial rush of photocopying resources and updating PowerPoints is done, Iām hoping to have some energy in the evenings to get back and give the game a go. Looks bloody lovely, seems slow (gameplay/story) at the moment.
Iāve installed the pc version and it runs surprisingly well on an aging 5700xt.
Granted, that is at 1080p and not 4k, but it is much more playable there.
I like the game a lot, just as Iāve enjoyed many of their other games.
I wish there was a proper 1080p option on consoles though.
Iām on a 2070 Super and Ryzen 3700X, just about smooth running at 1440p but only managing 45 to 50 fps on mostly medium settings. Some drops but not terrible. Still looks great though. Might set my resolution to 1080 at some point and see what I can get out of it in the name of solid FPS, but then again itās perfectly playable to me as is.
Iām still early days but it seems to be picking up a bit already. The exploration seems pretty fun, even if planets seem a bit bare at times. The ship building and customisation looks really fun though, looking forwards to getting properly into that.
Shame about the console version, do you not think thatās something they may patch in at some point? Sadly I wonāt be playing on console as Iām a PS5 type. Which is frustrating as Iāve always preferred playing Elder Scrolls/Fallouts etc. on console, first at least. Then I tend to get the PC versions when theyāre at a really good sale price and play with all the mods.
Super Mario Wonder is excellent. I say this as someone that has completed the main game but still on the hunt for the things I missed
A lot of effort has been put into this. Loads of brand new enemies to mess with, a solid set of old and mostly new powerups and a literally game changing mechanic in Wonder Flowers.
Picking up one of these triggers a level altering experience in which you, the stage or both, completely change up.
Best Mario game ever? Dunno yet. Needs to settle. Best 2D Mario in the last 30 years? No contest.
Iāve been playing that new Robocop game. It lacks polish. Cut-scenes are especially janky. But Iām loving it. It pretends Robocop 3 doesnāt exist, and is all the better for it. As ultra-violent as the 1987 movie with painstaking attention to detail.
I did the Robo-entrance in the police station and everything was perfect, even down to the clouded glass windows and the sharp right turn into the locker room.
I will have words and ensure they have polish in future
Iāve been having a look at this Pal World lark.
Surprisingly dark. You go around catching Pokemon type things so they can be slaves at your base. You can even capture human NPCs. Bit wrong but there you go.
Got Tekken 8 last week. Of all the fighting games, itās the one I bother with the most. I can remember printing all the moves from Tekken 2 and putting them into a binder in 1997. This was back in the day when the game didnāt give you a full move list - much fun was had cranking out Kingās Giant Swing.
Was a bit disappointed with the way Namco have taken the series in terms of unlockables. One of the joys of the older games was that everything was on the disc. These days they treat it like a fucking shop. (see also shitloads of other games).
However, I donāt feel short-changed with this one, even though the character roster doesnāt seem to have any unlockables. Itās a beautiful looking game and most of those moves learned in 1997 still work
Yeah, all games have āseasonsā now that the kids lap upā¦
Thereās a bit of backlash in the community about this, to the extent where any game which doesnāt feature this shit rightly gets brownie points.
Synth Riders VR may just be the best rhythm game ever.
Such a simple concept.
You have a cyan ball in your left hand and a magenta one in your right.
Balls of either colour fly at you and you need to hit them with the correct hand, in time to a banging tune.
Possibly one of the best rushes in gaming.
