Ah OK then…

Seems even Obama raised the issue of Jon Snow

David Nutter began to answer a few questions about Jon Snow and Stannis Baratheon.

About Jon, he told Entertainment Weekly: “Three weeks ago, I was the in the company of the President of the United States.

“He turned to me, put his hand on my shoulder, and said, ‘You didn’t kill Jon Snow did you?’ I said, ‘Jon Snow is deader than dead.’ I thought I was going to be sent to Guantanamo or something, but fortunately I’m here – but he’s dead.”

Bran Stark is officially going to be in the next season of Game of Thrones after missing the last run.

Isaac Hempstead Wright, who plays Ned Stark’s crippled Warg son in the hit fantasy TV series, confirmed the rumours as true when quizzed by the Irish Examiner.

…“I can’t say a lot, but I am back this sesaon and it’s going to get particularly interesting with Bran,” the young English actor said. “He has some interesting visions.”

Co-showrunner David Benioff has compared Bran to Luke Skywalker, noting that both characters’ absences are key to their dramatic narratives. Bran did not appear in season five after finding the Three Eyed Raven at the end of season four, while Luke went off for some serious Jedi training in the _Star Wars_franchise.

“It would be far less interesting, after The Empire Strikes Back, to have an hour-long movie in between Empire and Return of the Jedi where Luke is training,” Benioff said. “It’s so much cooler to cut from the end of Empire to the beginning of Return, where he’s become the Jedi.”…

Has an actual POTUS (or even a Prime Minister ever been commented on as “putting his arm round the shoulder of a Director and asking them about plot lines?”

Maybe to understand wtf Lost was all about or why did the network can Firefly, but Jon Snow?

See they are filming somewhere that could well be the ‘tower of joy’?

Filth tower is in Spain and booked to film this year.

I’m totally behind R+L=J if that’s the way they’re going. Most people who hear the theory become quite interested in seeng it happen, and many little nuggets to help that along have been dropped already. Throwaway in isolation, but they’ll knit together nicely when the moment comes.

I don’t know how much to take from an individual shooting location, but it looks feasible. Don’t want to venture too far into book spoiler territory, but I think Bran will be instrumental in uncovering the truth of R+L=J.

I am now half way through book five and it is becoming more and more of a slog. I lost interest in what the characters were wearing months ago but GRRM loves his detail. And the food! Where do all the goodies come from? Given the scorched earth policy that has been going on they seem to do very well for the banquets. He also like his characters - where do all of the feckers keep coming from? You can only care about so many people in any given story and I was already up to my limit before Victarion and all these other mushes pitched up. Oh well, valar morghulis. I just hope more do soon.

I gave up on the books are two. Too much of what sadoldgit has mentioned. It sort of reminded me a bit of the classics book that I read at college.

Game of Thrones to kill off several major fans

'Game of Thrones' The Exhibition at Sky Backstage, The O2, London, Britain - 09 Feb 2015

THE next season of Game of Thrones will see the death of some of the programme’s biggest fans.

Following the bloody finale of the fifth series, in which a host of main characters were shockingly dispatched, the show’s producers have announced that several viewers will be gruesomely killed off during season six.

Creator George RR Martin said: “I’m hugely excited about it, because, as everyone knows, Game of Thrones obsessives are some of the most tedious and irritating human beings on the planet.

“To devise and oversee the murder of vast swathes of them will be great fun for me.”

Game of Thrones super-fan Julian Cook said: “It’d be awesome if I die in a really cool way, like getting torn apart by wolves or shagged to death.

“I abhor spoilers, though, so if I am scheduled to die, I don’t want to know about it until I actually see it for myself on the show. But, obviously, at that point I’ll be dead, so I’ll be unable to watch it.

“Anyway, I’m sure we can work something out.”

GOT and LOTR are too similar in many ways. The storylines are just too complicated for someone like me, who has a hard time remembering names and faces. I enjoy these shows, but I’m fucked if I can follow them properly.

I love to watch them, but if they show up on my lawn, I will tell them to fuck off, just like all the other kids.

They are talking now of going into 8 seriesand possible a prequal. Given the amount of the story that they have yet to cover from the current books this is more than doable and if they play catch up in series 6 it gives Martin more time to work on his last two books.

Woohoo, I have finally finished all 7 books! I think Martin lost he was a bit and started over telling the story. The longer it goes on the more the TV series seems to deviate from the books, but no bad thing otherwise each series would run to 50 episodes. At one point he said he was planning to move the story on 5 years but had to ditch that as there were too many storylines that couldnt jump that far ahead. At that point I think he lost his way when he tried to bring all it back where it was.

Minor potential spoilers.

Actors playing dead characters spotted in Belfast

Jon Snow had a twin Sister?

Who is Azor Ahai?

Better than reading meltdown shit if nothing else

Kit: The important thing is that I now know exactly how long I am still under contract, and in the meantime- Interviewer: How many more seasons would that be? Kit: Nice try (laughs). I can’t talk about that. Let’s just say that Game of Thrones will remain a part of my life for a while, I’ll probably be in my thirties when it’s over. One thing’s for sure: the day I’m no longer on Thrones is the day I’ll bury myself in movie projects (laughs).

Any idea when he’s gonna finish the books?

Dinklage is ok as is Diana Rigg, but I like words.

The rumour is the next one will be along next Spring, which ties in with the next series I guess as that is due in April. It will be interesting to see how they compare. Early on the books and the TV series were quite close but the longer it has gone on the more they have diverged. With nothing to base TV series 6 on other than conversations with GRRM they could end up very different.

I was gutted (as was he) when Jon Snow died but finally got my head around it and moved on. They were very adament that “dead was dead was dead” at first but I wonder if they hadnt realised just how popular he was and decided to bring him back in some form?

is he or isn’t he dead?

Score one for the pap in the GoT prediction league.

In other news, I finished the Telltale game the other day. Final episode came out this month. If you like Game of Thrones, I think like me, you’re a bit mental. It’s not a nice show. The game is similarly not nice, but grabs you just the same.

Pick it up when it’s cheap if you’re unsure.

Someone suggested he could be dead and hanging from something. April seems a long time away.

It is, 5 months at that…
