šŸ‰ šŸ’ŗ āš” Game Of Thrones /spoilers

I love it too. I was so taken with the first few episodes of the first season, I just had to take a look at the books. Consequently, the last couple of seasons have been a bit of a procession. I’ve just been waiting for events that I know will happen actually happen.

The only time I ever have a problem with deviation from the source material is when it’s done with no respect. The American actor in a British based film (thank you JK Rowling for putting your fucking foot down over Harry Potter!). The transplantation of something from one place to another. All of that stuff does my head in. The worst you can accuse the GoT writers of is compositing characters and jettisonning some of the fluff, or at least re-arranging it so it is not as consistently expansive as the books.

I think we’ll see a lot of dropped plots re-emerge at later stages.

Of course if it did replicate the books we’d be on season 25 and Ned Stark would still have his head. The books really are hard work at times but I wish he’d hurry up and release Winds of Winter.

looking forward to True Detective starting next week, can’t believe it will be as good as season 1.

Nah, I didn’t see it last week - but I reckon it’s decent anyway. Compare these two shots.

In second shot, blood pool is slightly bigger, indicating he’s bled out a bit more.

Just watched it. Sorry, Pap, I’m calling gullible on that.

Not to say he won’t be coming back in some way though. There were at least 3 significant deaths in that episode that weren’t seen. I smell copout.

Well fair play to you for sticking your neck out,. Don’t see the copout myself. It’s well worth remembering that George RR Martin is in complete control of the books moving forward.

He didn’t have to write himself into this particular corner. There are characters all over the books that have cheated death. The real menace to society cheats death; it’s how it propagates itself. Where is this huge copout in two universes (TV & books), neither of which treat death as finality.

All very true but analyse what you said in relation to the story.

Who will actually stop the White Walkers climbing the wall

Who gives a toss about see through Sanza or Arya, let’s face it they won’t unite Westeros

It will take about 4 series for Joron & Daaios to get all the way back to Dothraki territory with Drogon pining on top of what looks like a Fjord.

Cersei is gonna be about revenge & fighting the version of ISIS she created. (So much George W Bush in all of that plot line but with better(maybe CGI) Bewbs.

Stannis/ Really? Did Brianne do the old swing & miss on purpose trick? He’s got nothing left in his tank emotionally or as a leader as in ā€œLet’s all get behind the Child burnerā€ Nope that won’t happen. The High Sparrow ain’t gonna cope with the White boys either.

Where is the Hero now? The only possibility is Bran Waug himself into contention in S6 or Dany gets the rest of the Dothraki onboard? And rushes back to Mereen? a Journey that took her 3 Seasons?

My guess is Joron. We have seen that they need Dragonglass or Valryan Steel to defeat the White Walkers. Valyria is home to the Stonemasons who the innerweb say we haven’t properly seen yet but Joran is heading that way fast.

I’ll put my money on Tyrion finding this all out moving chess pieces and becoming the all conquering hero. With help from Bron & Jamie Lanister

Not outta logic but I don’t see anyone else

Sat through the last episode again last night. Still grim. Dont know where people get that Jon Snow’s last word is Ghost. I only heard Olly. Agree that some of the old plot lines will be resurrected in series 6 as they seem to be casting new characters. Think Sam will have a big part to play as will The Children of the Forest.

Also wondrring if Sam is Martin’s alter ego? The unpopular kid who buries his head in books.

That’s what I said! Fat Sam is gonna end up sat on the Iron Throne, banging all the top babes like Cersei + Danerys, and flying Dragons like a boss! The ultimate fat geek neckbeard fantasy!

Ive liked this season, for the reasons many have said. Like pap I watched the first couple of episodes and was hooked so ended up buying the books. And I think they are excellent, a little heavy on twisted plots and characters but excellent. For that reason ive not quite got into the GoT TV show as much, mainly as I know whats coming. But this seasons been good, for instance I did not see Stannis getting pummelled at all !!

So, my take on what might happen next.

Jon Snow just isnt going to go anywhere, I think there has been too much effort put into building this character and back story to just kill him off. Melisande got it wrong with stannis so fully expect her to see him dead, witness a meteor and reincarnating him as asor assai reborn.

Stannis I think is a goner, I just dont see anyway back for him or what more he can give ? I was a little gutted at the pummeling he got however. But now watch as the army of the veil sweeps in and retakes winterfell.

Dany will get Khal Jhako on board one way or another, we also may see the other targaryan whose real name escape me (young griff)

Mercella, dont remember her dying in the book but remember her maimed. So maybe she’ll survive, but its going to send the lannisters batshit. Perhaps they’ll be no young griff and the alliance is dorne and the khalasar ?

Where the fuck is victarion and the ironborn ? The manderlays ? And Rickon ? I thought these were all heavily laden storylines in the book.

Anywho either way its been a good season, WoW should be released early jan I think, and next series should be a belter

Marcella. Think there is a possible salvation for her. Bron was poisoned, He knew where they kept their antidotes, he had a clinch with the nice bewbs one with the ā€œBad Pussyā€ as he left the dockside. Having learnt his lesson before he strikes me as the type of guy who’d actually tug her necklace Vial off during that clinch ā€œjust in caseā€

Whilst I do believe Jon Snow will be back, why the hell else would they have done that bit in the cave with one eyed Robin Hood otherwise? (Maybe a comeback to the centre of the show for him? We are a bit short on heroes) I don’t actually think hiding behind the ā€œBig build up for the characterā€ is a good line to take. We’ve seen nothing but proof of the way GRRM likes to shock.

I feel the other way in fact. We saw nothing of Bran in his 3 eyed cave all season and so everyone kinda forgot him. I think he will explode back into the centre of things really fast BECAUSE we forgot him.

Check out this for a theory

I hope I am wrong but I dont think that Jon Snow will be back. We have seen so far that no one is bigger than the show. GRRM’s shtick is that everything that someone does has a consequence. JS has reaped what was sown.
