Sting is a recurring star in Geordie Heat, the new crime show on Athletico Mince.

Bob Mortimer plays all roles

I too watched Dune. Read the book a couple of times decades ago. It seemed true to what I remember of the story. Might be confusing to anyone who hasn’t read the book.

Hence the suggestion to watch the David Lean version 1st.

I think you mean the David Lynch movie.

It is disgraceful in this era of inclusion that Seamus is ineligible for an Oscar.

Seamus is a rescue dog who along with Tom Hanks and a home made robot doing a Stephen Hawking impression are the only cast in Finch. Apple +

A post apocalyptic road buddy movie. It works.
It works very well.
It has faults but it is lovable clever.
And the ear worms.
Road to Nowhere, American Pie could have been written for the film.

Superb film.

You could be on to something here Phil, a sotonians version of the oscars for our furry little friends. My favourite animactors of all time:

‘‘London’’, German Shepherd - ‘The Littlest Hobo’.
‘‘Beasley’’, Dogue De Bordeaux - ‘Turner and Hooch’.
‘‘Gizmo’’, Mogwai - Gremlins.

No Time To Die.

The end of the Daniel Craig Bond era. I enjoyed it. I’m intrigued as to what happens next with the series. It’s probably a bit too long, and I think they went out of their way to make “Daniel Craig’s last Bond film” as opposed to “a Bond film”, but I can live with that.

Overall, this rebooted series has been consistently good, even though it hasn’t always been great. With Craig retired from the role, not sure whether they will reboot again when they recast.

Whoever follows Craig is going to have a tough act to stamp their mark on the franchise.

It was a great era when thinking back and remembering there were doubts Bond could survive in the post Bourne Identity world.

Well it’s easily the strongest last film of any Bond.

Connery’s last official one was the one he did after Lazenby. Moore wandered about, heavily stunt-doubled, for A View To a Kill. Definitely better than Die Another Day and in terms of what it does, definitely more important than Licence to Kill.

He sleepwalked through Diamonds Are Forever, largely because he really didn’t want to do it and was only there for the ridiculous pay cheque. Easily his worst performance as Bond.

Yeah, but the theme song…

Don’t get me wrong, the film is pretty good despite Connery’s non-performance. The whole soundtrack is good too.

Just back from watching Ghostbusters : Afterlife. I won’t spoil too much, but it’s a really nice return to form. It’s not as funny as the first film, but still made me laugh a lot. It’s probably scarier than any of the other entries.

Let’s face it. After the train-wreck of the 2016 movie, most fans just wanted a movie that wasn’t fucking crap. This is considerably better, treats the source material with reverance, rather than an irrelevance.

There was one part where I thought they were going to completely fuck it up, but it actually ended up working pretty well. The second best Ghostbusters movie in existence.
