Oooo…I loved ā€œLast Tangoā€ :yum:

I don’t know…I didn’t go, can’t stand musicals. The story was related to me by another cousin who was there.

Jolson was white you racist.

I must say, I’m very disappointed at the way this thread has turned. It seems the sotonians aren’t right on anymore. Maybe the pap influence?

I found it strangely inspiring :imp:

Tyler Cornack’s Butt Boy (2020) is not for everyone but does offer a surprising amount of depth and warmth. When Chip Gutchell (played by the director) finds an unusual pleasure in slowly feeding objects of an increasing size into his anus, it leads him down a dirty path that spirals out of control. One lone detective with his own problems to balance (Tyler Rice) has fingered Gutchell for the crimes but without the backing of the police force, his quest to bring him to justice turns into a nightmare.
The story gives us parallels between Rice’s recovering alcoholic and Cornack’s recovering Bottom-feeder, allowing the two character’s paths to intertwine in testing conditions.
As Gutchell’s predilection for inserting inanimate objects into his body horrifyingly turns to him searching for a greater thrill, the plot races to a devasting conclusion that will delight fans of Cronenbergian body horror.
Piles of fun.

I watched that new TV series last night, Stumptown.

What a disappointment. Not a sign of Heather Mills.

The Countrybumkins are currently tuned in to Blinded By The Light. Imagine all the usual topical movies but with Bruce Springsteen. Forgotten just how good his music was. Film is shite but music is top quality.

Hmm, recent music films based on pop stars lives/music

  • Bohemian Rhapsody - OK, I didn’t really enjoy to be honest, some funny moments
  • Rocket Man - Load of tosh, narcissistic bollox I|MHO
  • Last Christmas - Actually, I really enjoyed this and the twist was not unsurprising but still surprised me.and it’s not a Christmas movie, at all…oh and ignore the Brexit references, they don’t add anything to the film.
  • Yesterday - Never a fan of the Beatles TBH, that said film had a good premise but ended up going nowhere with a jumbled story.

The Twilight Saga

The Twilight Saga (2008-2012) is a much maligned series of films concerning a supernatural love triangle betwixt human, vampire and werewolf. With series star Robert Pattinson soon to continue his vampiric association by taking the mantle of the Batman, it seems like no greater time to view these extraordinary tales of love and heartbreak in one go for the first time:

Twilight (Catherine Hardwicke, 2008)
There’s a bit where the film stops for a bit and all the vampires play baseball in full kit.

The Twilight Saga: New Moon (2009, Chris Weitz)
There’s a bit where a werewolf gets a haircut and a new tattoo and then he meets his friend and his friend says, ā€œYou got a haircut. And a new tattoo?ā€

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (David Slade, 2010)
The werewolf hasn’t had a top on for 2 and a half films now. No one else has mentioned his tattoo.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 (2011, Bill Condon)
The werewolf tries to bang a baby. Michael Sheen has walked in from a different film. Holds the Guinness World Record for most punctuation in a film title.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 (2012, Bill Condon)
5 stars for Michael Sheen’s laugh. Please YouTube it.

Utter cinematic excrement from start to finish. The vampires can’t go outside for personal vampire reasons, except they spend most of the runtime of these films outside. It turns out when they stand in direct sunlight, they go a little bit sparkly and this embarrasses them for some reason. I’d love to be all sparkly-glowy. There is literally no character development. When the werewolf first wanted to bang the baby, I had to pause and google it to make sure I understood it properly. Dog dirt. Don’t make me do this again.

Recent lockdown desperado stuff

  1. Flash Gordon in all its camp glory - This is the true story of Gordon Brown and his 2 years gambling with Britain’s Gold at the tables in Vegas

  2. The Keeper - Enjoyed this slightly made up version of Bert Trout Man - this is a tale of Billy the Fish’s grandfather when he first escaped the fish farm in 1944

  3. Tolkien - A group of elves drink tea and recite poetry before being sent to Paschedaale in 1917

  4. The Twighlight Saga (Morris must have been watching something different) - 23 Old wrinkles get into all sorts of hilarious scrapes on a Saga holiday in Westensupermere… a Carry-on like farce for those in their twighlight years

  5. The Wolf of Wall Street - escaped Lupine runs amok in Southern manhattan killing Bankers and other cunts - compelling but gory

Whilst the family were indulging in a bit of Mexican cook up yesterday, I took myself off to a quiet corner with a pack of Ghost Ship and watched Anthropoid. Based on the true story of the attempted assassination of Reinhard Heydrich (The Butcher of Prague). I’m a bit of a fan of (in particular) war setting movies where they are based on fact rather than Hollywood. Anyway, it was OK. Much of the first 30 mins was low (volume), deep voices that made it hard to follow what was going on. The ending was a bit Hollywood for my taste but overall it was an interesting 2 hours. Something else to log in the grey brain cells. If you’re at a loose end and you like your war movies I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. SCD

I’m really bored. I’m watching a Russian Movie with Polish read over the top.

IMDB & Rotten Tomatoes imply this is the worst film ever made.

It does have Alina Lanina in it

Try saying that name 3 times in a row.
