FA Cup: Humble Pie Eaters vs the Saints

I am down defo, need a ticket but I am down there, when the draw is done tonight are date and time also given?

2018 FA Cup semi-finals will begin on

Saturday
,
21 April

and ends on

Sunday
,
22 April

Well, what an emotional week its been. From utter despair about our league position, which actually got worse due to us not playing, and a manager that few felt was delivering the goods, we’ve seen a two goal win against a Wigan side that had made the business of knocking Premier League teams out of the cup their specific business. Even Pep was forced to transact.

I was driving back from Southampton for the early part of the day, so got to listen to the first half on the radio. It didn’t sound as bad as it looked, but then, corners never do. Wigan had a lot of them, so I assumed that we were getting a little battered, but essentially still in it.

Watched the second half on the telly. Whatever was said at half time, it worked. We put Wigan under all kinds of pressure all half, which eventually led to the goal. The second counterattacking goal was lush, with Redmond starting the move from a collected clearance. Two confident players stitching together the sort of wham bam thank you ma’am goal we’ve not had in our arsenal for the last two years.

Sparky is growing on me quickly. I think he’s genuine, and perhaps almost surprised, when he talks about the talent he has at his disposal, almost as if he can’t believe his luck. He’s won his first game. How far do you have go back for that accolade?

To be honest I do think that the weather conditions had a play in the performances, the first half it was helping Wigan, the second it was helping us.

And the pitch? They should rename the ground Plough Lane!!

But the team showed some bottle and grit and we prevailed.

WTF was Cedric doing on the left wing at the end there?

Scoring the second goal because Redmond couldn’t be arsed to do it himself

Shit fuck tits and bollocks.

im not in the fucking country

Well that was a nice change.

Poor first half. Manager recognised, made changes. Changes had an impact. Saints win.

What sort of witchcraft is this?

Join the queue, I have already had three texts asking the same thing.

From a man in the know, he says there’ll be plenty to go around for the semi final , the final will be the issue, I am a no mark and I’ll probably get a ticket as I always do, where there is a will there is a way.

To be fair there have been a few times this season when I have wanted to kick Stephens in the nuts

Just woken up from a nightmare.

We were winning 1-0 in stoppage time and Cedric pops up out of position on the left wing, ran the length of the pitch leaving us exposed at the back and DIDN’T take the ball to the corner flag to run the clock down.

Oh…

Belay that.

Obviously I’m still asleep & dreaming as on the other channel, Tiger is back in contention again in a golf thingy

And agree with every word of this.

In fact amazed to see Cedric in some teams of the week. Yes he scored a Ronaldo-esque goal/finish, but especially in the first half he really struggled to settle and pass the ball to a team mate.

In fact think his goal came about because we’d just started debating whether to start Pied against Wet Spam…

PEH MoTM, shows guts and passion.

Romeu came on for a cameo and completely missed his first tackle, nearly put us in trouble. Just what is wrong with him? Unfit or un motivated?

I expect there will be thousands of spare tickets as all of the people who think that the owners and the Board are rubbish will be staying away in protest.
