Anyone else notice Pickford resolutely and continuously refusing to pass out to Maguire? And when Stones did it for him, Maguire immediately putting Pickford in trouble with a hospital back pass?
Ironically, while the panicked clearance by Pickford went straight to Italian possession, it was neatly retrieved by Bellingham. Which left just about everyone out of position, allowing the rather excellent break for our second.
Maybe that was the game plan, but somehow I doubt it.
