I think you’ll have a job, Bazza. You can’t even win a substantive reply to any of your posts.
My correct bullet points hit the nail on the head unlike your idealist codshite.
The “socialists” on here are funny in their naivety, it keeps me going.
I think that unless we see some major movement from the EU, in writing, I’m going to be voting out.
I was on the fence before, but I genuinely don’t think much will change for the better if we stay in as is, and find myself in agreement with Boris Johnson - the EU will come back with a counter-offer, either before or after the referendum. Even if that doesn’t happen, I can see benefits to being outside the Union, and I refuse to let a fear of what the Tories might do compromise that.
People have seen my opinions on the EU develop over the years, initially pro, appreciative of what the EU did for Liverpool, but aghast at the way it behaved when member states were in need. I don’t think it’s capable of reforming itself without a serious challenge to its authority. We are the only nation that can feasibly challenge that authority, and I think the only means we have to do it is going to take place on June 23rd.
I’m not going to campaign on it, or try to convince others to see things my way, but that’s the way I’m voting, and those are my reasons. I’m still ambivalent on the result, but I want to make my decision with some sort of purpose.
Another day of listening and watching.
Remember that my overall position is and always has been that the EU is a rip off gravy train for faceless Instituitions to spent shitloads of YOUR money doing nothing and making no decisions (eg poor old Greece & the Migrants)
But.
It is SO easy to rant for a “None of the Above” campaign. Trump is getting his support from people who don’t trust Politicians and hate the “Establishment” and his opponents are saying Trust ME don’t Trust Trump.
Same problem in Brexit. The OUT Campaogn aren’t actually Campaigning for anythig other than Out. I am not seeing any Leadesrship, I am not seeing any Strategy, I am not hearing any plans, Simply I am hearing None of the Above.
This is the British SOMETHING MUST BE DONE strategy that so screws up everyday life, reaction not planning - eg Iraq - Saddam Out - oh shit now what do we do, Libya Ghadafi Out - now what? Hell even Syria - Bashar out and now 5 years later Syrian Refugees are one of the main drivers of discontent.
Today everyone is ranting that the French should fvck off out of the Vote debate. DUH! No they bloody should not. Calais? I’m sorry, what is the OUT Campaign’s Border Strategy? IF the UK leaves then nobody KNOWS what may happen and the French said "It is possible that Kent will get flooded - BECAUSE THINGS WILL HAVE CHANGED.
At every level the OUT campaign is failing to address the future, Of course nobody KNOWS what will actually happen. The OUT Prime Minister will have to sit down and negotiate with the EU, but FFS how about some form of STRATEGY?
How about - wait for it - a MANIFESTO? How about they prioritize the areas they will negotiate? Day 1 Security or Border Control or VAT or Farm Subsidies - WTF will they DO on Day One.
None of the Above is a very popular cause in these days of Spin Lies and Deceit as Politicians exploit the weaknesses of Democracy and live off the lobby groups in both London & Washington.
The pseudo Socialist Utopia of the EU is screwed and a flawed model and should be taken back to what it was supposed to be. On that basis I would have voted OUT every time.
The problem is that actually the OUT vote is for nothing.
Christ on a Bike we could end up with Trump AND a NO PLAN UK with a distintegrating Europe.
Now, should I learn Russian or the Koran?
Your vote is your vote and use it as you see, my purpose and reason for our has and will always be the erosion of workers wages here and the people who work for low wages are under such exploitation, what protection does the person from Albania have whilst they are cleaning your car? None and no one not even the authorities give a shit, everyone (trust me on this) is told to not make a fuss on any issues like cleaners, nannies, car washers, maids, hotel workers and farm labourers etc etc as we now rely on these people, these people have no protection and its an absolute black market full of exploited people (dont get me started on prostitution and people smuggling).
Its an ideal but the reality is so far removed from the shit on the ground. Love Europe dislike EU.
I argue the EU isn’t socialist but libertarian (to the point of a nations central power not including Brussels) as to breath and function its needs a permanent supply of cheap labour not socialist ideals. Its dyng regardless of what happens, like the days before the wall, its gone, its dead, We may not finish it but the floodgates are open and Greece position of money and borders will show us what the EU is, a self serving undemocratic bully.
Out.
Short answer: things need to slow down and be controlled more locally. You can’t do that with superstates and there is a greater degree of control available if you choose to use it in smaller pockets. You can’t remove decision-making too far away from those affected or the decisions become invalid. The Morrisons case recently is exactly what happens and to counter that involves people having to get off their arses (see Phil, above) but with the best will in the world if 40 million in the UK do it and the other 300 mil (example, not exact figures) don’t then nowt happens. It’s easier to mobilise smaller numbers, etc - I think I’m repeating what Pap has said so I’ll leave it at that (e.g. electronic voting but on sensible things not tone-deaf teenagers).
Interesting this, very interesting, the wool I believe has been pulled over our eyes for far too long, time to wake up UK.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-35763101 This is going to cause huge issues #Europeitsworking
The common fisheries policy has totally screwed us over, I doubt you’ll find many fishermen or people who work with them onshore who’ll vote for the EU, what started as a common market became trade and politics, they can piss off and rip off someone else.
Most sensible people knew this, just pass this on to the extreme left and we’ll all be fine Justin.
Wow. That’s a huge boost for the out campaign then.
Plucky Iceland will sign a Free Trade deal with Blighty…

Oh and The Germans run the EU.
In other earth shattering news, it has been raining here in the desert all week
The Germans run the EU now, how many things have we been outvoted on?
Iceland seem to be doing ok for an iceblock in the arse end of nowhere and fair play to them,
Maybe Dubai and the EU have a lot in common concerning poor labour conditions for economic migrants?
I like Iceland myself, fellas - but be realistic about what that represents; a market not much bigger than Southampton, basically.
We could cope, manage and prosper on our own, they need us more than we need them hence their project fear campaign, they are shitting themselves and all the money they’ll lose out on.
Remember when they thought they this debate was sewn up and said the amount we put in and what we get out is negliable well that argument/lie has been exposed so they move on to the “possibilty” of lost trade and jobs when they know absolutely nothing about that as its pure fantasy, its also pure fantasy to say the EU wouldn’t trade with us (they also alluded to that as well) as why wouldn’t they? They have to make money and wouldn’t stop selling to us, its fucking bollocks.
They keep putting pathetic arguments for staying in and they are always getting knocked down, for fucks sake Blair is getting involved now and do you believe that c*nt?
We put more in than we get out.
The people wanting in are the ones who’ll lose out on what they currently are taking out from the system.
