Sibley gone, caught at deep mid wicket. Opened his shoulders but didnāt really follow through with the shot and spooned it up in the air.
It was fascinating because it was so odd. He didnāt know how to push the rate like Stokes was trying to. But he got out having a go, knowing we have batting still to come, and fair play for that. It was the best thing for the team, strange as that is to say about losing a wicket.
As Michael Holding is saying as I type this, the weather might be a factor in the next couple of days. England canāt afford to hang around and end up declaring tomorrow tea time.
Forecast rain tomorrow up here in the North West pretty much all day. Looks nice from Sunday. Not before time either, July has been crap so far and it doesnāt help seeing 25 degrees and sunshine down south.
Sky looks the same as here.
Rained yesterday & just starting again now with forecast the same until next Wednesday.
Prob why thereās no cricket on hereā¦
Oh wait
Thatās even more than Iād heard reported.
With a slow dayās play yesterday, England really need to have started getting stuck into them at some point this evening. If that means people swing for a few and get out this innings, Iām cool with that.
Pope gone.
Weāre doomed!
I take it all back.
I go to the shop & oh look
#englandcollapse
Donāt understand whatās going on here, Butler and Curran need to open their shoulders now. Playing as if they are batting for a draw on the last day. Butler 31 from 67 FFS.
469-99 Dec
Tidy opening spell
Curran then gets an LBW on review.
Last ball of day big appeal, behind the stumps think it hit bat.
It didnāt would have been plumb if reviewed
32-1 chasing a lot
Shame they didnāt go for that second review. Only the Nightwatchman but itās another one in the bag. He had a bit of bravado for someone there to block a couple of overs. I wonder if the conditions will continue to suit Curran when the weather changes? Decent little mini-session though.
Raining oop norf, booo
Sam Curran gets Shai Hope caught behind for 25.
Windies 123-3
Two breaking bits of cricket related news:
Just bumped into my brother. Weāre both middle-aged men. Iāve never once heard him express any interest in any kind of sport. He likes classic rock and bird watching. Today he tells me heās been watching the test match, wasnāt the Stokes and Sibley partnership great, we should go and watch some cricket when it reopens for punters. Iām torn between being delighted and worrying that my real brother has possibly been killed and replaced like they did with Paul McCartney.
Also, I think Stuart Broadās new Karate Kid look might be turning me gay.
As Mrs P_F said PHWOARRR
And sheās absolutely right to say so.
Have you been spending time with Fatso? I think we should be told!
Thatās firmly between me and the big man.
And I donāt mean God.
Although he sometimes makes me call him that.
I bet it is!
