Last ball of Gabriel’s last over Pope edged a regulation catch to Cornwall who shelled it.

First ball of Gabriel’s next over he clean bowls Pope for 91…262-5

Actually on replay it took a slight deflection off of Pope front thigh on to the stumps…

Woakes gone for 1, plays on to his own stumps

Roach’s 200th test wicket

267-6

This collapse is so English cricket its actually almost a parody of English cricket collapses.

And next over Gabriel, who has his dander up, gets Buttler for 67

272-7

This is what I was expecting yesterday morning from the Windies bowlers…

Archer gone for 3, edged to slips…

280-8

Leaving out a batsman.
Who’d have guessed…

And yet Broad has come out swinging the willow.

26 off of 13 balls so far.

314-8

Broad 50 up from 33 balls, 8 fours, 1 six

342-8

5th fastest English test 50 apparently…Botham has the 2 fastest ones…

If Broad didn’t get that crack on the head years ago he would have been a seriously good all rounder or probably moreso bowler/batsmen but imagine having him coming in at 8, the bowlers would just cry.

That may have been my fault.
Parked up opened cricinfo and Broad out to a low full toss for 62 instantly

Broad tries 1 shot too many and gets caught in the deep

62 from 45 balls

356-9

and that was that 369 all out.

Good recovery from the hostile attack in the first hour…

Well that was fun. Stuart Broad was seriously pissed off at being left out of the first test, he responded in the best possible way. Good to see.

Ffs Stokes. Even I could have caught that in the slips
15-1 should have been 7-2

Not sure if this will work. Possible live updates. If not, you ain’t seen nothing. Got it?

Holder giving Joffra a bit of tap.

Yeah those edges to 3rd man are wonderful.

Holder caught by Pope playing another expansive drive with only another 5 runs needed to avoid the follow on.

However it looks like Woakes didn’t have any part of his front foot behind the line, 1/16th of an inch in it if that.

No ball and Holder is reprieved.

Apparently only the 2nd no ball called against Woakes in his complete test career, 34 tests…
166-6

And the follow on has been avoided…

This means we have to treat our innings as a 30/40 overs smash fest and rely on our bowlers on Tuesday as there’ll be no cricket on tomorrow.
