Curran better score some runs, cos he ain’t doing much with the ball
Pakistan 205-8, means England will probably struggle to make any follow on…
Bowling in these situations just seems to always be shit
223-9 match delayed by bad light…
Pakistan all out 236
So we’ve had some play this morning and England have finally dispatched Pakistan.
236 ao, last wicket added 60 runs.
Burns edges the first ball he faces, luckily it drops short of the slip fielder, that would have been some start for Pakistan…
4th ball, same thing, genuine edge, pouched in the slips, good bowling.
0-1
This is some hostile bowling from Pakistan.
Sibley just got caught by a rising ball on the top of the pelvic bone, that looks like that hurt that did.
And they’re actually playing some cricket in glorious sunshine, and England have manged to avoid the follow on by not losing any more wickets.
44-1 trail by 192
29 overs gone, 84-1
Really they should have tried to make a result out of this game…
Sibley out, nicking one down the leg side, looked to be planned by the Pakistani bowlers.
Sibley 32 (95)
92-3
110-4d
Match has officially been drawn…
Yeah. Where’s Hansi Cronje when you need him?
They were discussing that during the final overs, Hussain mentioned they’d won and then quickly decided to gloss over it…
With no spectators in the ground, why the hell not?
Having been to an Ashes match at Edgbaston, admittedly some years back, it was equally galling to experience 2.5 hours of lost play to light. Later in that same (early July) day, the skies cleared totally to give glorious sunshine.
Play continued only until 6.30pm and then off they went, still in universal blue skies and sundown not due until 9.50pm
Even then tickets cost £85.
England win toss, bat.
Curran out Archer in.
It is raining
