šŸ» End of season Beers

Horseshoe bridge is always a good bet. A pleasant sunshine filled walk along the waterfront boardwalk and then straight down Thomas Lewis Way to motorway.

Hi Guys … 1st post on here in a long while … can anybody attending The Guide Dog wear name tags, so that I know who to avoid!!
Heads up on Steam Town, I think Sunday is Quiz Night, so lets hope its a warm night and we can sit outside or face the wrath of quiz orientated boffins!!

Oh good Lord. That’s Fowllyd and Bletch sorted for the evening.
Forecast looks bloody marvellous so I am expecting Bletch to spread his ample frame over several tables for us.

Re Guide Dog … it gets rammed but take advantage of buying Pitchers of beer (4 pints) to save queuing!! Food i think is limited to sarnies but could be wrong.

You probably want to avoid most of them Eric. You’ll recognise me - I look the same as in 1977, just with shorter hair.
I should get to the GD by 12ish

Let’s just win the quiz tonight then, and have a cheap evening!

catching 1218 bus wankyness from eastleigh. I’m pretty much the same as 1977 but without the afghan coat and shorter hair but greyer … make that silver foxish hair!!

Gutted to be missing out, but have a wonderful end of season beer session without me, guys. Might actually get back down to Southampton one of these years.

If we get a music round, don’t let @Fowllyd answer.

He has a distasteful hatred of kitsch German-based, Euro-Caribbean, 70s pop acts that stops him from answering correctly.

Boney. Cough. M. Cough.

How many are we expecting now?

  • I will be at the Steam Town tonight
  • I will be doing something less interesting instead

And what is your ETA?

If I need to keep too many tables I’ll have to lie on them and pretend to have passed out.

PS @Goatboy, don’t forget my new shirt! Thanks, @PhilippineSaint.

Right decided that herding cats is going to get too stressful, so…

Table booked for 8 at 6:30pm.

Food is served before the quiz, which starts at 7:45pm, but not during the quiz.

Cost of entry for the quiz is Ā£2-ish and a ploughman’s that is served during the quiz is Ā£1 ish.

Something like that. Holly was a little vague. It’s on Facebook apparently, but I’m not.

Pub quiz and a ploughman’s!

How fucking Rock n’ Roll is Sotonians, eh?

CC: @Fowllyd, @Goatboy, @BTripz, @ericofarabia, @Polski_Filip, @SO5-4BW - anyone else?

ETA around 1830?
edit: that’s the year Fowllyd was born.

Yeah, that’s what I guess at. The table is booked for then.

Works for me although I may have to leave half way through the quiz

At least we’ll have a strong second half.
Do we need a suitably rude team name?

We’ll post your share of the winnings.

Ah, no we won’t we’ll drink it

I’ve got your ticket by the way

In the spirit of taking one for the team I’ve managed to arrive at the Guide Dog twenty minutes before it opens.

I’ve got a table - but the place filling up with ā€˜Uddersfield fans…
