Chuck a can of larger at Austin first time he scores and bingo😁

Better.

Don’t let me down again

Heard a feature on the radio earlier about the Louis Theroux recommended documentaries. They we’re talking about a London Jewish man who believed he was a Hebrew king who took 7 wives and kept 18 horses. Sounded fascinating.

Yeah I heard that (Adrian Chiles) and watched it as a result. It’s not as fascinating as it sounds but still worth watching.

Actually quite sad. Wonder where they are all now? Retirement homes? Prison?

I knew a couple of older lads on the Waterside who wanted to join the local chapter of the Road Rats. Don’t think they even got accepted as prospects. Had nice classic bikes (a BSA and a Triumph as I recall) but living in a fantasy world.

Mad John is boss eyed after having them punched out of their sockets in a fight.

Lol.

That was hilarious.

Because he was inbred more like.

Check out Mighty Redcar on BBC iPlayer. A real antidote to the awful programmes like benefit street etc

Yep, really enjoying it.

It’s sad but understable to see the attitudes and behaviours that form in the chaos when the single company in the single company town fucks off.

Thousands of lives treading water filling their time as best they can. No wonder some turn to crime, it’s more amazing that some still maintain the belief they can succeed.

This documentary captures it all.

It really is a must see. Though was annoyed at that company not employing that lad when he’s proved himself. If we never employ people with fairly minor convictions we’ll keep on having disaffected people turning to crime and the cycle continues.

Yeah, I actually wondered whether part of the boss’ decision was that he was on TV. i.e. his clients would know that he employed ‘criminals’.

If the lad hadn’t been on the TV, given that he seemed to be a natural at the job, I wonder if the boss would have kept him on?

Hope he finds something.

“Icarus” on Netflix is pretty amazing. It won an Oscar and deservedly so. Starts off as as a filmmaker investigating drug taking in cycling. He dopes himself, the results are a bit kinda average. The film really takes off when he makes contact with this guy Grigory Rodchenkov. who was in charge of mass doping of Russian athletes before the Sochi Olympics. He was smuggled out of Russia and is now in witness protection.

It’s Michael Moore, so you know what to expect. Early reviews are though really positive, as a polemic filmaker and a general pain in the ass of Republicans :grinning:

A fat fucking cunt? A relentless self-publicist? One of the few humans to knock 90% of the rest of the human race sick on sight?

Yeah, he was a real thorn in the side of the Republicans when he batted for Hillary.

The Last Days in Vietnam doc on BBC4 last night (bound to be on player, was part of the Storyville series) was pretty compelling. Focused on the last few days of the US presence in Saigon and the evacuation. Witness accounts from many who were there brought it to life, along with footage.

Ok, how can you discuss things from this POV?
