I was first exposed to it as the enforced video entertainment on a National Express journey from Stanraer to London. No escape. I recall wishing I had a stick to poke out my eye and burst my ear drums.

Saw it was on Netflix/ Prime the other day - don’t recall which - I’d had a couple of shandies. Thought of giving it the benefit of the doubt thinking it couldn’t really have been that bad, could it? Turned it off after about 10mins

On BBC2 tonight was atribute to Connery. It showed a few clips of a Parkinson from 2003. Sitting between him and Ricky Tomlinson was a certain B. Johnson. MP.

As much of a knob as he is today?

Younger (obviously) but you only saw him. The clips were all Sir S. talking to Parky.

You’ve got to hand it to Sean Connery. No actor ever made more of a success of himself by playing Sean Connery. Didn’t seem to matter what he was in, or what nationality he was supposed to be. He was Sean Connery.

I might seek out Highlander later on to hear his briliiant Spaniard.

Who sounds like Sean Connery.

Has he ever thought of going into politics?

I can’t wait for Hanks to die. My collection of single gloves will be worth a fortune.
