Somebody you never heard of has passed away.
Everyone of us has used his dream these last few days
This is an amazing story you never thought you needed to know
RIP Rao.

Robert Mugabe has finally gone to hell
Helped ruin a very productive country
That he did. However that prosperity was called concentrated in the hands of the
Whites, so understandably he wanted his people to wet their beaks. His methodology left a huge amount to be desired
Shit, I feel like I defended the cunt. Going to wash.

Abdul was a true sport. Our village team used to play a side from near Heathrow each year. It was our tour match, a day Sunday game.
We always picked our best side, so obviously I never played
One Sunday at home our tea ladies served Ham sandwiches & sausage rolls for tea. They were all Pakistanis.
Anyway, one year they rocked up. Skipper said they were 1 short, could his cousin play.
They batted 1st average score. Tea was served (chicken).
I volunteered to Umpire.
Lad rocks up to open the bowling, we had a noticeable slope on our pitch. Surprised to see he was off about 6 paces.
1st ball lands in the middle of the uncut uphill wicket. I’m already starting to smirk & signal wide. The ball hits middle stump.
Skipper comes I’m. 2nd ball middle of the uncut downhill strip. Takes out middle stump.
3rd ball dead straight top spins into middle stump before batsman moved #fasterthanjofra.
At which point their players are rolling on the floor.
Skipper comes up, apologises and suggests we start again.
Opening bowler comes up to us in a huddle, shakes our hands, signs stuff and then leaves back to London.
It was Abdul Qadir, on the Sunday of the Lords Test which he was playing in, came to watch his cousin in HIS big game and pulled that stunt in borrowed kit.
A genuinely wonderful man and my 1st ever once in a lifetime moment.
RIP Abdul
Our Golf correspondent seems to have missed this. One of my early favourite players.
Spent my teenage years in Lymington and knew of him as a kid…same age.
RIP Leon…true Saint.
When we were in administration, and the ill-fated Pinnacle consortium had to stump up £500,000 to secure their status as exclusive bidder, they were unable to come up with this money as their backers had dropped out. Leon Crouch paid it for them - without that fuck knows what would have happened.
RIP Leon.
Ric Ocasek, lead singer of The Cars has died aged 75. The Cars were a great band i thought, very original sound and some really good songs.
Who’s gonna drive him home, tonight?
His best friend’s girlfriend maybe?
Lifted from sicki…
My car died on me this morning.
That’s just what I needed
Ginger Baker poised to shuffle off this mortal coil.
But look at this picture and tell me that he isn’t the twin brother of Albert Edward Ladysmith Steptoe.
Never realised Mick Hucknall was in Cream.
Oddly enough, I saw Jimmy White.
I think we’ve just discovered that Mick Hucknall is Jimmy White’s lovechild. Call the Daily Mail!
nah, same person, alter ego
Barrie Masters, lead singer of Eddie and the Hot Rods, has died aged 63.
I saw them several times in the 70’s and again 6 years ago in the old Talking Heads. He came and drank with us at the bar and I am very surprised to see he was only 2 years older than me…
The price of a Rock n Roll lifestyle. Mine not his.
I saw them at the Top Rank in Southampton, part of a punk rock/ new wave
package tour. Would have been around the late 70s. Seem to remember Stiff Little Fingers, X Ray Specs and a couple of others on the bill.
