Ronnie Moran was part of an era when Liverpool ruled, and they had such attacking talent that you just had to respect them.
(and enjoy giving them the odd lesson at The Dell)
But where does this guy rank on the Mandela-McGuinness scale? I think we need to assess this for every dead celebrity from now on so that I know whether to be pleased or upset.
Very sad news. He was a star in a fantasy team I had years ago. 44 is no age to croak. RIP Ugo.
RIP Ugo.
I spent the day sitting next to him and his young family at a water park in Portugal many years ago.
He was enormous, incredibly fit (Mrs Bletch noticed more than me) and seemed like a really happy and chilled family man.
Tight shorts?
Very sad, RIP Ugo.
I had a mate I used to go to home games with who died of a cardiac arrest at the age of 40. He was training for a charity bike ride…struck out for the top of Farley Mount, collapsed and died on the roadside.
It really hits you when it happens so suddenly to a mate at that time of life.
No, @thecholulakid , I’m wearing yoga pants at the moment.
But thanks for letting me be a special part of your fetish.

Oh…that’s very sad…classic internet-age comedy. RIP John Clarke.
This is doing the rounds on Twitter.
I dont think that he was ever linked with us but he is a player that I used to hope we would sign. Looks like he was a really good guy too. Very sad.
Joanie leaves Chachi
Erin Moran, best known as Ron Howard’s kid sister in the classic sitcom “Happy Days,” has died. She was 56.
EMTs were called at 4 p.m. Saturday Eastern time to an Indiana home to tend an “unresponsive female,” the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department confirms. “Upon the arrival of first responders, it was determined that Erin Marie Moran Fleischmann was deceased. An autopsy is pending,” they said in a statement.
Moran was just six years old when she was cast in the TV series “Daktari,” where her most unusually costars were a chimp named Judy and Clarence the Lion. During that three-season run, she made her film debut in the Debbie Reynolds comedy “How Sweet It is!” As a child, Moran also appeared in Melvin Van Peebles’ “Watermelon Man” and made guest appearances in “The Courtship of Eddie’s Father,” “My Three Sons,” “Family Affair” and “Gunsmoke.”
