I learned to play with my dad’s old ball which would explain a serious aversion to heading I had as a kid
I am convinced I would be 6’3” if I had been given a modern football to play with

Well Ron Davies died at 72 but I don’t think it was anything to do with dementia, which is somewhat surprising. Peerless in the air was our Ron.

Ah, but would he have lived to 82 or more?
Was playing when i first started watching Saints and was manager when i first started going to away games. Integral part of my enduring affiliation for this club. RIP Big Man.

This is a video of Steve Harley and Cockney Rebel performing ‘Sebastian’, with a full orchestra in 2015. Sebastian is my favourite Harley song, why it never troubled the charts at the time is one of life’s mysteries IMO. A stunningly beautiful and passionate performance of a stunningly beautiful song.

He got to Make me Smile and the place erupted but tbh the Orchestral version is a bit more oomph wow than him unplugged on an acoustic guitar!
Great guy, got to meet him and chat before the rugby finished when he sat in corporate with us to watch the final.
