I thought of you Scotty when I heard the news, what with you seeing the Feelgoods the other night. I wonder if they knew how sick he was.
If they did, they didn’t mention it. I’m not sure how much contact there’s been between the current Feelgoods and Wilko over the later years, although I do remember that Wilko’s own band have appeared on the same bill as them at festivals.
Sad news, saw the original line up of the Feelgoods a number of times and those gigs are right up there with my most memorable ones. Love this video of them.

Die Hard is one of the all time best action films. Gilyard’s Theo had a memorable role in a film full of memorable performances.

Hardly. Era-defining at the time. There’s not an ounce of fat on it, something you can’t say for many of its imitators.

And a very, very true one. I went to the cinema to watch this with a girlfriend, we didn’t fool around once during the film.

Very sad, I saw her at the Beehive in Bournemouth when she was in Chicken Shack. 
I also saw her in Chicken Shack at Tofts blues club in Folkestone, would have been around 1970 or 71. Stan Webb was a very good blues guitarist in his day. Very sad news, sadly I suspect we are both reaching the time of life when the musical heroes we saw in our youth are starting to pass on, without being morbid it certainly does give a sense of our own mortality. Jet Black, drummer with The Stranglers has died aged 84. He had been suffering ill health for a while. RIP.
