⚰ Death

Couple of points on that. First, as others have said, it was a legal marriage - doesn’t make it right in a moral sense though. Second, Jerry Lee made some great music, which is what he’s celebrated for - Prince Andrew, on the other hand, is celebrated for, er, well, being somebody’s son.

Joking apart, Lewis married his 13 year old cousin in 1958. Personally I wouldn’t like to judge the morality of that, in the Deep South of America, within their laws, and three years before I was born.

Hopefully, it will inspire them to beat the Skates this week in the cup.

Well, hell-Oh! Or rather goodbye to Leslie Phillips, who’s shuffled off his mortal coil (he was a Royal Shakespeare Company actor later in life) at the age of 98.

I have a mate who was a good friend of Dan, he said yesterday, “TBH he was a ticking time bomb ever since we heard he had COPD, and had to quit the band 10-15 years ago. While he and the bass player were at our wedding in 1974 the other two used studio time which had already been booked to lay down the backing track for Love Hurts. Of course, it was completely in the wrong key for Dan’s voice so he tried it an octave higher - and it became their biggest hit.”

Enjoyed the cartoon when I was a lad, enjoyed the games even more. He was a very good Batman.

Genuinely saddened by this news, he truly was a one off. A light has gone out in the world now he is no longer with us. RIP Wilko, never forgotten.
