Young Frankenstein too. RIP dude
Gone to the Great Glass Elevator in the sky
Funny guy.
sad news, was indeed a great comic actor.
Grew up watching Willy Wonka, he was always an interesting guy to watch and utterly hilarious too. Still, better to be at peace than dealing with what sounded like a tough time with Alzheimers.
Arnold Palmer has passed away. Will this affect the u.s team? I have a feeling it will spur them on.
Yes they will want to win it as a tribute to him and the commentary will be so biased it will be unbeilevable.
Plus they have that guy who shouts
“Get it in the hole”
Maybe he could modify it this year to
“Get him in the hole”
I don’t know much about golf but if the Yanks are playing with “intelligent” golf balls how come they lose the Ryder Cup so often.
Looking at their presidential candidates one wonders how intelligent the golf balls are. Anything above an IQ of 5 or 6 and it would be running the country
Never underestimate the power of that - worked so well for team Europe & the memory of Seve.
Will cover some of the mental stuff tomorrow in the build up thread.
But there is no doubt Arnold Palmer was key in the process of creating the game we know today, A true Gentleman and Human being.
Unlike Mr Casey or …
Not a great golf fan but as a kid I used to watch a programme with Arnie Palmer, Gary Player and Jack Nicklaus in it showing off their golfing skills. Arnie P always came across as a decent guy. RIP.
I found that funnier than I should have. Having said that I think I booked my ticket to hell a long time ago.
Pete Burns… gone, spinning in his grave… right round? (or is it too early?)
Dead or Alive?
Also Bobby Vee. You spin me right round baby, right round like a rubber ball I’ll come bouncing back to you. (I can’t claim credit for that quip, though).
…or as he said, “Take good care of my baby”
Oh dear.
A great sporting moment - especially that first touch by Jairzinho taking that pass up the wing.
Don’t panic but there goes Clive Dunn - a comedy legend.
First died in 2012 - he’s off again.
